My Summer Garden Flowers

What a beautiful way to begin the summer! Come along with me as I stroll through my flower beds. Enjoy the view that I enjoy every summer. Some of these flowers are at their peak and others are at their end, but they are still beautiful enough to share.

What a beautiful variety of flowers you are growing. Are any of them edible? Also, your photography is top notch.
Thank you Bernadette. I don’t know if they are edible I honestly have never eaten any flowers except dandelion greens. Lol Thank you for the nice comment about my pictures, it’s amazing what the IPhone can do!
The only words I have are “Dang!” “Wow!” and “Outtasite!”
Awe thank you Matt!!!!! ❤️
Beautiful flowers! You must spend a lot of time in your gardens!
Yes, we don’t do much traveling for now because our 2-1/2 acres can get out of control in no time if I don’t keep up with everything. Thank you!
Wait! Dorothy thinks she just landed in Oz! How absolutely enchanting!
Hahaha what a nice thing to say Dorothy! Thank you so much!
❤️💕
All so beautiful, love your garden flowers!! 🌸🌼
Thank you Patty! Now you can see why your paintings are so special to me.
So beautiful Diane. Are those dark blue ones Clematis?
No they are wave petunias Carla. These don’t need the flowers pinch off like regular petunias and they spread incredibly fast!
They are gorgeous.
Thanks!
So beautiful and colorful! Thanks for sharing your lovely photographs – Neek
Thank you Neek and you’re very welcome! Living in the country not too many people gets to see them so I love to be able to share them on my blog.

Absolutely stunning Diane, I love a healthy and beautiful garden, it brings me such joy! C
Thank you Cheryl, it is my labor of love. I have planted all three seasonal flowers. In the fall it’s all my mums.
You have such a beautiful and varied garden, Diane. And I love that stone bench I see in the background. Thanks for sharing!
That bench is overlooking my 2 small fish ponds. I love sitting there watching the fish and listening to the water fountain which aerates the water. Thank you!
beautiful 🙂 What is the name of the 6th flower Diane… never seen it before.. the orange-ish one..!
It is a red hot poker plant. It has lost most of it’s color and just about finished blooming.
Thank you! Its beautiful!

Beautiful!!! I was surprised to see a cactus among those!
I know! It grows even through the winter in Northern Ohio. Go figure!
That’s amazing! And wait, northern Ohio? Have we talked about this already? I’m from northern Ohio. Are you near Sandusky? Trying to remember our conversation on this…
Yes!
What a beautiful stroll of beauty! 🌸💛
Thank you my yard is my pride and joy and a labor of love for sure.
You’re welcome! A labor of love indeed! 💚
Beautiful and colorful garden 😍
Thank you!
Beautiful!!😍
Thank you!
How beautiful Diane – I’d spend all my time gazing out the window if I were you. I know it is a lot of work. (Not to mention the wisterias.) All those beautiful lilies are so vibrant. My hydrangeas have no blooms yet and yours are so gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden pics with us.
You’re welcome Linda. Last year I only had a few hydrangea flowers and this year they are so full the stalk is having trouble holding them up!
I went out to look for the possum (with my camera) and looked at the hydrangeas and now they are out but not a whole lot of flowers. This heat and rain has really messed up the flowers. A fellow blogger in Portland, Oregon has a beautiful perennial flower garden and has many posts about what she calls her backyard sanctuary with many pictures of the butterflies, birds at the birdfeeders and hummingbirds. She said her flowers are fried … they had 115 degrees the other day. The weather is so erratic.
Oh my goodness I bet! If I didn’t water my flowers every day they would be dead and we didn’t get anywhere near as hot as they did. We finally got enough rain today that I got a break from watering. The clouds seem to split when the storms come here. Rain all around us but not in our yard. Lol
I hate when that happens. When I worked in Downtown Detroit for so many years, just 10 miles away, and I’d leave work and it was nice and sunny, then at home a torrential downpour.
Such beautiful brilliant colors!
They are so pretty and vibrant this year. I just love the Wave Petunias and plant more every year…lol Thank you!
Beautiful ♥ Did I see a ‘Starry Night’ Petunia in there (the deep blue one with the spots)?
Yes!!!!! Wow this was the first time we have seen it in our nursery. I love it!
I love it too! Gorgeous shade of blue.
I enjoyed seeing all the blossoms in your flower gardens. It brought back memories of my garden in Maine where I grew many of the same flowers.
Thank you Karen and I’m glad they brought back memories of your garden.
Lovely!!
Thank you they are my pride and joy in the summer.
Wow!
These are really so amazing indeed.
Thank you Hammad!
Other talents you have besides cooking: gardening and photography. Well done, Diane!
The first photo – the orange Paradise Lily – was what caught my eye as you don’t see many of them around here. Everyone remarks about mine when they walk by. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your nice comment Hillary!!! Those lily’s have been my husbands favorite since I put them.
Absolutely beautiful, Dianne. The hydrangeas have been beautiful this year, for which I’m grateful as last year they all just looked anemic, and I thought I had lost a few. I’m hoping this next heat wave isn’t too hard on them. Thank you for sharing your garden with us!
Wow your flowers are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing 🙂
You’re very welcome! Thank you!
