I have always loved Calamari and whenever I see the breaded and fried Baby Octopus on a restaurant menu I have to order them. For those who have followed me for a while, do you remember when I went to Jungle Jims International Market last year? I bought all kinds of interesting food there. Click HERE to see our trip there. Anyhow, I bought these Baby Octopus there and thawed them out for my dinner. My husband had to work and won’t even try these so they are all mine.

There are so many ways to cook Octopus. I personally try to stay away from the fried recipes unless I order them out, I hate the mess. So I opted for the recipe on the package. Cooking them this way gave them a more chewy type texture which I love. They can be boiled for an hour, if you want them to be more tender or go ahead and fry them with breading. Anyway they are cooked, I love them. The next time I will put them into the slow cooker and see how they turn out.

I didn’t eat squid because I never ordered or bought it because I once saw winding tentacles on a plate …

    • Where is your sense of adventure Robin? 😂🤣😂 Ever since I was very young my dad hunted rabbit & squirrel. We fished and picked wild mushrooms and asparagus, ate frog legs and more, so I am use to trying anything. But I truly LOVE calamari/baby octopus.

  2. Wow – you are brave, but I have tried them before and may have mentioned before that I was tricked into trying an octopus stew – not told the contents and saw the suckers – an OMG moment. Yes, they are chewy, like clams would be my description.
