Two Minute Microwave Elephant Ear

A crispy, buttery tortilla sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and microwaved for two minutes for a delicious and quick dessert or snack. This isn’t doughy like the ones fried in grease at the festivals but a crispy treat instead. These are made with a 6” tortilla. I have also made these using the large tortilla and baked them in the oven. Click HERE to see the recipe for the oven version.

  1. Yummy looking – I love elephant ears but haven’t had them in years, but the crunchy/crispiness of yours appeals to me more than the doughy and often greasy type you get at fairs or carnivals.

  2. You should’ve seen how fast I leaped off the couch to make this the other night. We had just had to throw out the casserole I made because it was SO SALTY and I had tried drinking orange juice and still couldn’t get rid of that salty aftertaste. The cinnamon sugar did the trick. Mom tried part of it and said “There’s not much flavor to it” but the woman had just been chewing mint gum so how could she taste anything??? LOL

I thought it was perfectly sugary & cinnamony. I do want to try your oven method next time thought to see the difference in texture.

So tasty though! Cinnamon things are my favorites.

    • Hahaha here too I just ate two of them! I did it a little different today. Instead of brushing the tortilla with butter, I put the butter on the plate, microwaved it and then put the tortilla on the plate and moved it around to get all buttery. Flipped it over and put the cinnamon and sugar on top. Saved me from washing the brush…. I hate doing dishes!
