Smucker’s Day Trip

Another day trip! These day trips are our vacation this year and I promise there are plenty more recipes to come. If you ever get a chance to visit Smucker’s in Orrville Ohio do it! It is where Smucker’s is based out of and I thought I would share pictures from what they have inside the store. I never leave here empty handed.

When you walk in, this is what you see.

Not only do they sell food products,

each season they showcase items like

these. I go here two times every year and

have never seen the same items twice.

This is the first time I have seen Tomato

Ketchup here so it may be a new product.

It won’t take me away from Heinz, the only kind I use.

 A few clothes items.

These are socks!

An ice cream set

makes for a great gift.

This is my favorite part. They mix up some

of their products and have taste testing.

They will open any jar for you to taste

to see if you like it before buying it.

They even give out the recipes.

I love this one to use

for entertaining.

Did you know Dunkin Donuts

brand is licensed to Smucker’s

for packaged coffee products?

Smucker’s bought Folger’s Coffee from

Proctor & Gamble for $2.95 billion in

stock in 2002. It also owns Jiff Peanut

butter, Crisco and Hungry Jack.

There are these colorful glass

bottles in front of the window.

The jams and jelly’s fill an entire

wall below the colored bottles.

Milk-Bone is another product they sell

and they even have section for pets.

Different drink products.

Products you probably

didn’t even know they own.

Gift baskets are quite pricey but nice.

Last but not least, they will even

personalize your own jar label.

I did not receive any compensation

for this post. I just happen to love

this place and their products!

  1. How cool! I wanna go!! So no picture of your haul??😢 I only use Smuckers Jelly! If it isn’t in the store, I don’t buy Welchs, I go to another store!😁

Great post Diane and now I’m craving PJ and J!💙

    • They don’t own the companies but the license to certain products. It seems complicated but they buy and sell off different licenses to just certain products. We see items come and go in the store which can be disappointing if you go there for a certain item and they are no longer license to sell it!

  2. What a great place! Would love to visit one day. Didn’t know they owned Dunkin’ Donuts. Love the Smucker’s jams and jellies – we always buy the strawberry ones. Thanks for sharing!

    • They don’t own Dunkin Donuts but the Dunkin Donuts brand is licensed to Smucker’s for packaged coffee products. They are only involved with selling it in grocery stores, club stores etc. They have nothing to do with the coffee or products in the Dunkin Donut stores. Seems so complicated but they both must make money this way.

  3. Wow – I had no idea they owned all those brands – you and I were talking about them awhile back when I mentioned having Smucker’s blueberry and strawberry syrup back in the day.

    • Right but we found out this visit they sold off their small bagged mixes such as Lemon Poppy Seed Bread. My mother in law buys that every time we go because she lives alone and it was the perfect size for her. She was so disappointed.

      • That’s a shame – I hate when companies change the product or eliminate it altogether after you’ve been buying it a long time.

  4. How fun!!!! I would totally love going there. I just discovered the deliciousness that is Smuckers Pineapple Preserves. I want to eat it with a spoon.

  5. I always enjoy stopping at places like that. I suppose one can never have too much jelly. That said, though Smucker’s Red Raspberry Preserves is my all-time favorite, between you and me, I wish they’d drop the high fructose corn syrup.

    • I agree! The Amish sell wonderful Jams and Jellies with so many unique flavors. In their defense Smucker’s does sell a jam like spread called Simply Fruit. I have not tried it but it looks good.

  6. It seems quite interesting place to visit. Many stand looks creative!
I would surely get more inspiration for cooking visiting the place like this.
    Thank you for the post.

  7. Wow! I’d love to visit. I didn’t know Smuckers owned so many other brands. Cool that they even make their own ketchup! & those socks are so cute!

  8. I love Smucker’s Jams and Jellies. I had no idea it was in Ohio. Not that far from me actually. I need to do a trip to Ohio to visit all the places you have been telling us about.
