Tomato Bacon Pomodoro Sauce
Cheese filled tortellini covered in this delicious Tomato Bacon Pomodoro Sauce was another favorite for my husband! What is Pomodoro Sauce? It is almost the same as a marinara sauce only not as chunky and due to cooking time, Pomodoro Sauce has more of a deep red color to it. We ate this for our meal and it was so easy and quick to make. The tortellini took 7 minutes to cook and the sauce was cooked in about 10-15 minutes. Now that’s a quick meal! Keep in mind that you can substitute ravioli with the tortellini for another great meal.
Ingredients
Prepare the tortellini according to the package
directions while you make the sauce.
Place the oil and bacon in a frying pan
and cook the bacon over medium heat.
Add the onion, garlic and cook until soft.
Add the rest of the ingredients.
Stir and simmer for 3 minutes.
Pour the sauce over the tortellini and serve.

I haven’t added chicken broth to a tomato sauce before, that sounds like a good twist! Another great idea from you, thanks as always!

Love this! I made Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake cookies this morning for a birthday party this afternoon. I have managed to maintain control, limiting my tasting to one small crumbly piece left over!! lol
