Ham & Cheese Pasta

I love Ham & Cheese so I thought why not put it in pasta! I made a cheesy parmesan sauce, added ham slices and mixed it with spaghetti for the perfect combination. I’m so glad I made a pound of spaghetti so I can have some delicious leftovers!

Ingredients

 

Boil the spaghetti according to the package directions.

Drain and place back into the pot.

While the pasta cooks melt the butter in a

small saucepan over medium-low heat.

 

Add the pepper, salt, parmesan cheese and cream

stirring until combined, hot and bubbly.

 

Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta. Gently toss into the pasta.

Toss in the ham with the pasta.

Place on serving plates and garnish with dried basil then serve.

Ingredients

1# spaghetti

8 Tbl butter, (1 stick)

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated parmesan cheese

pepper, to taste

salt, to taste (optional)

6-8 thinly sliced ham pieces cut into thin strips and warmed in the microwave

dried basil for garnish

Directions

  1. Boil the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and return to the pot.
  2. While the pasta cooks, in a small saucepan melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the pepper, salt, cream and cheese stirring until hot and bubbly.
  3. Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta. Gently toss to combine.
  4. Add the warmed ham strips and toss to mix in.
  5. Place on serving plates and garnish with dried basil then serve.
