Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich
I made this delicious Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich for my husband! You don’t need an expensive cut of meat for this recipe, I used round steak. Cooking it in the slow cooker, in the delicious seasoned beef broth, makes it extremely tender and very tasty! Top it off with melted cheese and then dip the sandwich into the juice…..yummy!

Ingredients
Cut away any visible fat and bones
from the round steak. Slice it thin
and place it into the slow cooker.
Place the sliced onions and green
pepper (optional) into the slow cooker.
Whisk the Italian seasoning pouch,
salt and pepper with the beef broth.
Pour the beef broth mixture into the
slow cooker. Cook on low for 7-8 hours
or on high for 3-4 hours.
Cut the bun in half horizontally
and with your fingers pull out some
of the center of the bun (both sides)
making a small well for the meat to sit into.
Just before serving put the buns on
a foil covered baking sheet.
Broil until the buns are golden brown.
Using tongs, place the meat
mixture onto both sides of the bun.
Place two pieces of cheese on
top of the beef mixture.
Broil on high until the cheese melts.
Take the sandwich out of the oven, carefully
close the bun and place on a serving plate.
Serve with the leftover juice in the slow
cooker to dip the sandwich into. (optional)
