I created this easy Creamy Italian Salad Dressing because somebody asked me for a recipe. I used the king of salads (my hubby) as my taste tester. He eats salad every single day and he loves Creamy Italian Salad Dressing. He gave me a thumbs up for this recipe. You will get 4 bottles of salad dressing from the dry mix.

  1. Hi Diane!
Do you know why it is named “Italian”, even if we don’t use it?
In Italy we dress salad only with oil salt and vinegar (Mediterranea); this kind of cream are really used in Germany, also with yogurt and cooking cream.

  2. My husband won’t eat any oil and vinegar dressings, it always has to have a creamy look to it. I try to tell him that mayo is basically just the same thing but whipped, doesn’t matter – it has to look creamy. I do the same as you, I add some store bought creamy mayo to trick his senses. Whatever works eh. I like the herbs and spices added to this one and will give it a try.
