Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs
Who doesn’t love BBQ Ribs? It took me many years to come up with a rub recipe we love combined with a BBQ sauce that we love. As good as ribs are smoked or cooked on the grill, there is not an easier, tastier and fall off the bone ribs like these. Not only do the ribs cook low and slow for 8 hours in my Ninja (or any slow cooker on a low cook setting), I also bake my potatoes with the ribs! The secret to delicious tasting slow cooker ribs is three things. First you put your favorite rub on the ribs. Second is when you cook the ribs, lean them upright on the sides of the slow cooker with the potatoes (completely sealed in foil) in the middle of the ribs. This helps to hold up the ribs. Third is when they are done cooking in the slow cooker, they get placed on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. Brush the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce and broil in your oven until just the right color. Fix your vegetable and your ready to eat!

Ingredients
1-large slab ribs, cut into sections
4 medium potatoes, washed
1 bottle your favorite BBQ sauce, I use Sweet Baby Rays
RUB:
3 TBS brown sugar
1-1/2 TBS paprika
1 TBS salt
1 TBS pepper
garlic powder to taste
Directions
In a small bowl combine rub ingredients. Cover ribs with the rub. Wrap potatoes in foil so the are sealed tightly, so no liquid can get inside. Lean ribs along the side of the slow cooker. Place foil wrapped potatoes between ribs to help keep them upright. If you don’t want baked potatoes, make foil balls and place between ribs. Do not add any liquid to the slow cooker. Cook on low for eight hours. Take out of slow cooker and lay on a foil covered baking sheet. Pre-heat oven to broil. Brush the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce putting it on heavy. Broil until sauce is set and the color you want. Watch them carefully so they don’t burn. www.InDianesKitchen.comCategories: Ribs/BBQ, Slow Cooker
