Oreo Cookies With Pudding & Cool Whip Recipe

This is my new favorite dessert. Oreo Cookie crumbs layered with chocolate pudding and Cool Whip (or any whipped topping) then topped with shavings of a chocolate bar. It only takes minutes to prepare and is one of the easiest and best tasting pudding type desserts I have ever had! This can be made the day before you need it too.

Make instant pudding and refrigerate.

In a food processor or blender, pulse the cookies (white filling too) until they are a fine crumb.

Pour the crumbs into a bowl.

Melt the butter and let cool a few minutes.

Pour butter into the Oreo crumbs and using a fork, combine well.

Place 1/3rd of the Oreo crumbs into a bowl. Press with a spoon or use the bottom of a measuring cup or glass.

Spread 1/3 of the pudding on top of the crumbs. Spread 1/3 of the Cool Whip on top of the pudding. Repeat for a total of 3 times but only press down the Oreo crumbs on the bottom layer, just sprinkle on layers 2 & 3.

Top with chocolate bar shavings (Use a potato peeler on the chocolate bar). Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.

It doesn’t get any tastier than this!

Thank you Ned!

It was super easy to make and the taste, well it’s Oreos and anything made with them has to be good! My grandson told me he hopes I put it on my blog as he was going back for seconds! Lol
well, you made him proud!
You are so sweet, thank you for your nice comment Beth!
This looks tasty. I have a kid with an Oreo love in our home and I bet he’d love this.
Is this one of the desserts you brought to your son for Thanksgiving? If so, I bet it was a hit!
Thank you Ab, it turned out to be delicious. My 11 year old grandson took one bite and told me I HAVE to put the recipe on my blog, then he went back for more. Yes I made this and pumpkin pie which I will share later.
Your grandson was right!
Whet! I didn’t enough on Thursday?
There’s always room for more! Lol
Sounds delicious!
One I will definitely make again. Thanks you!
Oh my, layers of happiness in a single scoop!
It was a huge hit, especially with the kids.
I was thinking “oh, I could do this” and I guess I could if I used my mallet to smash the Oreo cookies and put the butter over the register. 🙂
Yes you could! You can crush the cookies anyway you want, the cookies don’t have to be crushed fine. I have even used a rolling pin to crush things.
Well, now I must save the recipe!!! Melt the butter by putting it on top of the register works right? Yes, you’re laughing.
I would think it would melt and yes I am laughing! Lol
Great! I knew you would laugh. I’m sure the stovetop is okay, but ….
That looks simply amazing! Yumm!
Thank you Braden! This was my first time making this and I can’t wait until the next time.
Diane, this looks totally decadent…and totally delicious!
Thank you Bruce, I will be making it again!
It looks so fancy, and what can I say, it’s CHOCOLATE!
Since you like chocolate Linda, you would love this recipe but plan on sharing it, it makes a lot.
This looks like the perfect pudding for our hot summer months! I’m definitely going to try it.
It was super delicious and I will definitely be making it again. Thank you Corna!
