That’s really delicious. My wife received a gift at her job back in December and it included several food items from Canada. And one of them was Maple Syrup Butter. It’s so delicious. Make toast and spread it on. We even spread it on right off the grill pancakes. The maple butter melts and was enough for the two cakes. No additional syrup need.
Maple butter, I never had that, what a great idea to put it on pancakes!
The two are basically the same – according to Brookfield’s Maple Products Maple Cream is similar in texture to peanut butter or Nutella and maple butter
Thanks Ned!
No wonder Amazon sell it đŸ™‚ That is quite an effort
It was but what a joy seeing it turn to the cream spread.
That looks so delicious and I bet it goes well with toast! Love how easy it is to make!
It turned out so good that I was eating a spoonful of it, but yes, definitely good on toast.
this sounds delicious
It is and fun to make too. Thank you
This past weekend it was sugarhouse weekend. Many offer this already made as well as anything else you can use maple sugar with. We love our Maple Houses in New England.
I bet that is a fun weekend! We have a lot of small festivals where they show how maple syrup is made along with maple candy etc. but I have never seen maple cream at them.
You must hunt it down!
Love maple syrup in any form. Must be the Canadian in me.
As a kid, whenever we went on field trips to see how the syrup is made, I always bought the maple leaf candy.
So sweet! I opened a new bottle of amber syrup last night. It makes an easy dessert served over vanilla ice cream and bananas.
Now I’m hungry! đŸ˜‹
Two of my husbands clients just dropped off more syrup. Good thing it keeps forever!
Wow lucky you!!!
I’ve got Maple syrup, but I didn’t;t know there was a maple cream spread as well, sounds delicious!
It is so delicious, thank you Paul!
I remember making this in a sugar house many years ago at sugaring time. It was fun taking turns beating the syrup. It came out lovely, although no one used a thermometer, I guess they just knew!
I thought it was fun too, not to mention delicious. Don’t you tap maple trees for the sap? If so did you get a lot this year?
We don’t, but we have a friend with a sugarbush and shack. We just got our annual delivery yesterday!!! It was a really good maple year.
Talk about convenient and local. That is nice to hear that it was a good year. It’s funny because when it’s a bad year that is all the news talks about, however, a good year you hear nothing, enjoy yours!
I have never heard of this, but it looks delicious. I can tell you now, however, I don’t have the patience for 30 minutes of stirring. I’m sure I would ruin it.
It took my husband and me a lot of switching back and forth, especially once it started getting creamy. It was fun!
Well this would be nice on hot buttered toast – thank you for sharing this Diane!
You’re right Linda and you’re welcome!
I can imagine! I’d do the same!
