  1. Hmm, I recognise quite a few of your recipes here! We love Oreos so this will be a hit. And chocolate chip cookies … they look like a cookie that you can dip in your cup of tea/coffee 😋.

  2. It’s no coincidence that “Christmas” and “chocolate” both start with the letters “ch” and that both words are composed of 9 letters! 😳😂🤪😎 Chocolate addicts know these things! Your cookies look delicious.

  3. I know I have saved recipes for these no-bake cookies in the past, but my computer, like my house, I put something somewhere and never see it again. Today I spent hours looking for the two computer cords and did not find them. I must have a Plan B on where to put the Windows 11 laptop while the Christmas tree is on the butcherblock. Sigh.

    • When I put up my Christmas decorations all my regular table things get packed in the Christmas totes and put in the basement. It’s so easy to lose things this time of the year, even when you put them in totes. Lol

      • I know we’d open a drawer months later and find a knickknack or two – or put a picture in a drawer under some out-of-season clothes. I still have not found the cords and keyboard which was one Amazon delivery … I can see losing the cords (maybe) but a keyboard is big – SMH. I spent about five hours this weekend looking for it. Still going to put the tree up tomorrow. I am behind in everything and didn’t even get online until 5:30 or so and tried to go to an animal event, but too many people and didn’t go, but walked about 6 1/2 miles.

      • You will find the cords when you stop looking. Any chance you put them in the grocery store food? At least you got your miles in and the tree will be up! I have been sick since Tuesday last week and not getting any better. My Christmas won’t turn out as I planned, but at least we will be together.

      • Well, now I have a new twist to this saga Diane. Not only did I not find the cords, nor the keyboard (which was the other item in the Amazon order), so I decided to just put the Windows 11 laptop back in the living room, as it is a plug that is not being used. I can’t use it there as the rocking chair is in the way – the rest of the living room has groceries in boxes and now art stuff in boxes, so it fits right on in there. So I mopped and dusted the kitchen this morning and went to the cupboard (and had to move stuff from in front of it) to get the bear tree down. Brought it to the kitchen where I had a nice red towel, feeling all festive and you will not believe this. The back of the Christmas tree has a very short cord and I don’t remember this because I’ve not put out decorations since 2008, but there is nothing to plug it into the wall with. The attachment/power source was NOT with the tree! So I looked up on the cupboard – not in there. I went onto eBay as I know I told people about the tree and sent a screenshot as people are always selling them – I wanted to see what connects it to the electrical outlet as the cord behind the tree is a little round hole. So I looked on about four of the trees for sale and it shows something that looks like a charger and comes in a white box. So I enlarged it to see what kind of power source and would hop on Amazon, but I can’t tell. I was so disgusted, I gave up and will look for it tomorrow. If it is downstairs or in the TV room closet with everything I’ll never find it – maybe it is somewhere in a drawer. I contacted Danbury Mint – no help at all with them as they don’t make the trees anymore – they used to make different items, trees with Snoopy, or all cats, or all dogs. So, if I can’t find the power source, I’ll write to one of the eBay sellers and ask what size it is or have no lights. I have no words. You can just leave this comment in moderation and read it there Diane. I am sorry I am so behind writing you back … I’m even sorrier to hear that you are not feeling well and I hope you are better long before Christmas arrives.

      • Is it the kind of opening that has a metal clip that holds a light bulb in the hole? Then the light bulb shines through the inside of the tree to light it up. I know that’s how they did it back then. So it would look like a small lightbulb with a clip attachment and a regular plug on the other end. Unfortunately still pretty sick, Christmas isn’t going to be too exciting this year. Lol

      • I’m sorry to hear you are still sick Diane. Well one thing, the burden of Christmas dinner will not be up to you this year, but I’m sure you’d rather feel like good. I have now found the extension/light which looks like an adapter. I did not have a clue where to look for it and didn’t remember how it even looked, but when I went on eBay the other day to see what type of power source to buy (but couldn’t tell because I enlarged the picture until it was blurry), I saw the white box the power source was in and went to the dry sink and found it … I remembered seeing it earlier this year when I took out the bag of cards to make the Mother’s Day post about cards I sent to my mom over the years. The large ceramic tree a friend of the family made for us had that long lightbulb on a stick that ran up the middle of the tree. It had a regular plug that went into the wall. A friend of my mom’s made it and she took a pottery-making class and they made trees, so her husband bought her a kiln and pottery wheel and all that for Christmas one year. They had to have the basement rewired with heavy-duty wiring for the kiln. She made family and friends a few ceramic vases, everyone got a Christmas tree, then she was bored with pottery making and never made anything again. I am so happy I found that power source … but I have to have another plug to plug into the wall socket as I can’t get close enough to the wall with the light switch behind the stove. Everything once upon a time was like the saying “a place for everything and everything in its place.”

      • I’m getting better and should be OK by Christmas. It’s been 2 weeks, it’s time to find another person to carry it. I took 4 years of pottery in high school. We learned different techniques to create pottery, used the kiln to dry it and then again if we glazed our piece. Some of my best memories of high school. Loved it and how amazing for your mom’s friend to have a wheel and kiln at home. That is nice you found the power cord before Christmas Linda.

      • She really liked the pottery classes and liked doing pottery – made family and friends different things including a ceramic Christmas tree which I still have. I am glad I find the power cord, but am perplexed why it is was so hot?

      • Yes, not worth it. I wonder if it was due to the extension cord? But I can’t plug it into the outlet because it is recessed and when I put a plug extender into it (behind the stove), it didn’t look right to me either. It is not worth taking a chance. Next year, I’ll try another place (if possible) and in the meantime see if I can get another power source with the same specs or just leave it unplugged. The lights would be a pain to replace. It came with some spare bulbs – they must be put in with tweezers.

  4. I remember some of these recipes. The best part of the holidays is to enjoy baked and sugary treats without guilt!

    • Right but I get more joy giving them to the family. I have been really sick for almost a week. I told my husband I may not be able to make cookies this year as I am already behind a week and still not feeling any better (so much for my four vaccines). He said well at least that will save us the calories. I responded, I don’t make them for us! 🤣

      • Oh no, I hope it’s nothing serious and that you get better soon! Your family and friends will understand.
