Cast Iron Pan Pizza Recipe

Who needs to order pizza out when it tastes this good from home? The best part about making your own pizza is that you can add whatever you want to it. This pizza reminds me of a pizza cooked in a brick oven only you get to stay home.

Thanks so much Ned!
I have never ordered pizza to take out
Can’t beat making your own pizza like this. They always tase so much nicer 🙂
I agree Paul!
The older I get, the more I love my cast iron pans. I have never made a pizza in mine, but I’m adding it to the list, right after I make a Dutch Baby.
I was the same way, loving them as I got older. Now I am 65 and I am finding it harder and harder to lift them but I still won’t give them up. They sell some now that are wonderful according to the people that have them and they are much lighter to lift. I may have to go that route in a few years. I have never made a Dutch Baby, enjoy!
Nice and easy technique. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Harry and you’re very welcome.
Thanks for your reply.
You’re welcome Harry!
The ever-ready cast-iron pan!
It sure is crazy how many things that pan can do.
Not something I’d imagine using a cast iron pan for!
We couldn’t believe how amazing they turned out. The dough was like it was cooked in a pizza oven.
Going to have to try this. We don’t have a lot of places dependably open that make pizza. One of the tradeoffs I’m willing to make to live in the mountains!☺️
Well that sounds like a good trade off to me too, lucky you!
My favorite food to crave and/or salivate over Diane. My mom gave her cast iron frying pans to my father when he took a job in Holland, Ohio and she never got them back as they cleared out the apartment after he left the country. I could have made pizza now that I can see the stove again.
I’ve been to Holland with my mother in law. How disappointing your mom didn’t get her pans back Linda. What a good feeling seeing the stove again!
Yes, we went once to take him clothes and food – they had a work emergency so he couldn’t come home that weekend, so we went to the apartment. Yes, she liked her cast iron like you do. Yes, after five years!
The pizza is picture perfect and it looks like you are enjoying your new kitchen.
Thank you! I definitely am enjoying the kitchen but it’s still not finished. The contractor has been at two other jobs, I wish it was finished!
Making pizza is a special thing for my family! We love it! Great post!
Thank you!
You can never go wrong with cast iron and homemade, appreciate you always
Thank you for your kind words!
Thank you so much for reposting!
I love home-baked pizza because then I can put on as many ingredients as I want without paying extra for it ☺️! We have the cast iron pan, so there’s no reason why I’m not going to try your recipe – thanks Diane!
You could do the same thing over the fire. The secret to this recipe is that you get the cast iron pan screaming hot then add the pizza dough. I try to shape the dough close to the size of the pan ahead of time so I don’t have to touch the hot pan. We each make our own pizza and add as many ingredients too.

Thank you so much!
