Tater Tot Taco Salad

Tater Tot Taco Salad has everything a regular Taco Salad has only with Tater Tots added. Who would have ever thought potato in a Taco Salad would taste this good! I topped mine off with taco sauce.

Cook the tater tots according

to the package directions.

In a large skillet over medium heat,

cook the ground beef and onion

until no pink remains.

Remove any grease

then salt and pepper.

Add the taco seasoning and

mix into the ground beef.

Spray a 4 quart casserole

dish with cooking oil.

Add the tater tots to the baking dish.

Using a wooden spoon, break

up the tater tots.

Add the ground beef and mix

with the broken up tater tots.

Place the tomatoes on top.

Sprinkle the cheese on the top.

Bake uncovered in a preheated

400º oven for 20 minutes.

Add lettuce to a plate,

place taco meat on top.

Drizzle with taco sauce, top with

sour cream or whatever your

favorite topping is.

This recipe sounds yummy. It would be good in a breakfast burrito with added scrambled eggs, too. 🙂

  2. I never would have thought of adding tater tots to a taco salad, but it’s not so farfetched when you think about how many breakfast burritos have potatoes. It looks delicious!
