Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls
These tasted as amazing as they look! Cinnamon Rolls filled with strawberry pie filling, baked & drizzled with icing. This recipe makes 12 rolls that were even delicious as leftovers.
Adapted from: The Recipe Critic
In a small saucepan over medium low heat add the milk
and butter. Stir until the butter melts then remove from
the heat. Let stand until lukewarm, about 110 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl whisk together
2-1/4 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
Add the egg and water then mix just until it starts
to combine. Slowly add the milk and one cup of flour.
Mix (or knead) until the dough
starts to form and becomes smooth.
Place the dough in a bowl and cover.
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
Lightly flour a pastry sheet or clean counter.
Roll the dough into a 9″ x 15″ rectangle.
Spread the strawberry pie filling over the
dough keeping it about 1/2″ from the edges.
In a small bowl combine the cinnamon and sugar
and sprinkle it evenly over the strawberry filling.
Roll up the 15″ side into a log.
It’s messy so don’t roll too tight.
Pinch the seam closed and place the seam on the bottom.
Pinch the ends to seal then slice into 12 equal pieces.
Spray a 9″ x 13″ baking dish with cooking oil.
Place the rolls into the prepared dish. This is another
messy part but don’t worry about how they look they
will still turn out great. Cover the dish with plastic wrap
and let rise for 30 minutes.
Remove the plastic wrap and bake in a preheated
375 degree oven for 30 minutes or just
until golden brown on top.
In a small bowl whisk together the confectioners
sugar, butter, vanilla, salt and milk until smooth.
Drizzle the icing over the rolls and share with
your loved ones. I made these for Valentines Day.

It’s the first time I encountered strawberry cinnamon rolls. Do cinnamon and strawberries go well together? I was wondering if I can also make cinnamon rolls with blueberries. What do you think?

Oh these look delicious and the strawberry filling is an added plus isn’t it? They remind me of Cinnabons, my indulgence whenever we went to Southland Mall back in the day.

I would use this easy recipe but the first time don’t add the pie filling. That makes it a bit more challenging. Thank you and good luck!
