Air Fryer (Or Oven) BBQ Pork Chops
Pork Chops seasoned with a dry rub, cooked in the Air Fryer (or oven) then finish cooking with added BBQ sauce for a Pork Chop everyone will love. This is such a nice change from regular tasting Pork Chops and reminded me of eating pork ribs.
Ingredients – plus olive oil
Rinse the pork chops and pat dry with a paper towel.
Rub olive oil all over each pork chop.
In a small bowl combine the dry ingredients.
Place the rub on the pork chops covering them completely.
For the Air Fryer: Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes
at 400 degrees. Place the pork chops on the rack.
Air Fry at 400 degrees for 6 minutes. Turn Pork Chops
over and switch to the opposite shelf. Cook another 6 minutes
or until the pork chops are 140 degrees at the thickest part.
Check every few minutes as the thickness of the pork chops
varies. If you don’t have the racks, use the air fryer pan
just make sure the pork chops do not touch.
For the Oven: Place the Pork Chops on a foil covered
baking pan and bake in a preheated 450 degree
oven for 10-15 minutes or until 140 degrees.
Remove Pork Chops and brush on your
favorite BBQ sauce on both sides.
Place the BBQ sauce covered Pork Chops back into the air
fryer (or oven) for another minute or two or until
145 degrees at the thickest part. Remove to a plate and serve.

So, what is your verdict Diane? Which did you prefer?

In my Ninja Foodi the broiler was best but the cast iron pan is my personal preference. The only reason is because I eat everything on my steak, fat included and with the Ninja it didn’t cook the fat enough for me to eat. In the cast iron pan I hold the steak upright and sear the fat until it is crispy on the outside yet melted on the inside. That way I can still have my fat and really rare steak too. I’m SO BAD! Lol

No you are not. That is one of the only times I eat the fat, on pork. I think that is one of the reasons I like them on the BBQ.

This looks so awesome! What brand of air fryer do you use?

I use the Ninja Foodi and I love it. It has multiple settings for all the different gadgets like slow cooker, broils, sautés, dehydrates and more. Yet it is about the same size as the air fryers are. Thank You Kally!

I like BBQ sauce but I think I’d leave it at the dry rub. Either way, sounds delicious 🙂

I’ve been contemplating an air fryer and you may have just convinced me. Not to mention I love pork chops! Looking forward to making this recipe!

My husband bought our first air fryer and I wanted nothing to do with it. All he made was fries and I thought what a waste. Then my mother gave me her brand new Ninja Foodi and the air fryer is almost all I ever use it for. I have loved everything in it (brats-sausage-wings-pork chops-potatoes-hot dogs etc.) except for shrimp. Shrimp was the ONLY thing we didn’t like and I think it’s because it cooks so quick and we love it cooked in butter with herbs. I am so happy I have an air fryer now and use it all the time.

Thank you for comment on my blog dear lady. Now have to buy air fryer is on shopping list if meat can be cooked so good as that.Had only limited information on this product and chose to ignore as just another kitchen cupboard filler used once a year. You should be a promoter of air dries now. Be paid for it from manufactures of product .You have manged to convince me I need one.

They are great for a small family but not for entertaining a lot of people, they aren’t big enough for that. I highly recommend getting one.

Entertaining is the last stage of my gardens build .Bought Italian taverna dome wood oven to cook for many. Better than cooking on charcoal . The heat is in the 400 range but outside a child can place hands on the oven with no harm at all. Jamie Oliver talked me into it but in end bought from Milan factory to me plan. Best wishes and thanks for air drier works as good as you said
