Lazy Day Slow Cooker Roast
Put the Roast in the Slow Cooker then take the rest of the day off while it cooks itself. Cooking a roast in the Slow Cooker this way leaves the meat tender, moist and delicious! This has been the best combination of flavor for beef roast I have come up with so far!
Ingredients
Place the roast and onions
into the slow cooker.
In a medium bowl combine
the remaining ingredients.
Whisk to combine.
Pour the liquid mixture over
the roast and onions.
Cook on low for 8 hours then serve.
Optional: What I did for mine was to remove the roast after 7 & 1/2 hours. I removed all the bones and fat then shredded the meat. I returned the shredded meat to the slow cooker, turned the slow cooker to high and continue to cook for another 30 minutes.

You had me at “lazy day.”
I even made the grandkids “boxed noodles and canned corn” with this one. Sometimes a gal just needs a lazy day break!
Looks really good!
Thank you Valerie! It definitely is my best Slow Cooker Roast recipe so far! Have a great day!
You, too! <3
Yum, it sure does tenderise tougher meat doesn’t it. I never used to use a slow cooker very much, but you’ve inspired me Diane. I use it a lot more now.
I’m so glad Chris and yes the meat just fell apart. Thank you for such a nice comment! ❤
This looks like the best meal ever!
Yes it was the beef roast I have ever made! It was such a lazy day that I used boxed pasta mix and canned corn. That doesn’t happen very often…lol Thank you Kristen!
Good meal for Sunday since I really dont like doing much but eating. 😀
Hahaha only Sunday! Thank you Frank!
I do wish my mom had kept her slow cooker – she said she was too short to see inside of it – but she would have had so much less mess had she kept it.
Back then the inside was part of the unit. Now you just pop the insert out and wash it without worrying about the electrical parts. So easy!
I like easy, I hate a lot of dishes and clean-up so sounds perfect for me!
It really is a great idea. I love when the meat practically melts in your mouth.
Me too! Thank you!
Yum! It’s always nice to have a nice meal to cook even when you don’t feel like cooking!
Oh yes it sure is, I use my slow cooker a lot. Thanks!
Be safe!
