Italian Pasta Casserole

Cheesy buttered pasta layered with saucy ground beef then topped with more cheese! Who doesn’t love a delicious casserole? This recipe is great for the kids or the adults and my grandkids loved this one!

Ingredients

Spray a 4 quart casserole

dish with cooking spray.

Add the ground beef to a large

frying pan over medium heat.

Cook until no more pink

remains then drain any grease.

Add the herbs and mix.

Add the spaghetti sauce and stir.

Bring to a simmer and simmer

for 10-15 minutes until thick.

Boil the pasta according to the package

directions cooking them al dente then drain.

Add the butter and toss until the butter melts.

Add the Parmesan cheese and toss.

Place 1/3rd of the sauce into the bottom of

the casserole dish. Top with 1/2 of the pasta.

Top with 1/3rd of the sauce again.

Top with the last half of the pasta.

Top with the rest of the sauce.

Sprinkle the Mozzarella

cheese evenly on top.

Cover with a lid or foil and

bake for 35 minutes in a

preheated 350 degree oven.

Remove from the oven, remove the

lid and let sit for 5 minutes then serve.

 

Italian Pasta Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 24 oz spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 6 oz shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray a 4 quart casserole dish with cooking oil.
  3. In a large frying pan over medium heat, cook ground beef until no pink remains. Drain the grease.
  4. Add the herbs and stir.
  5. Add the spaghetti sauce and stir. Bring to a simmer and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Boil the noodles according to the package directions, just until al dente.
  7. Drain and add the butter, tossing until the butter melts.
  8. Add the Parmesan cheese and toss.
  9. Place 1/3rd of the sauce on the bottom of the casserole dish.
  10. Top with 1/2 of the pasta.
  11. Top with 1/3rd of sauce again.
  12. Top with the rest of the pasta.
  13. Top with the rest of the sauce.
  14. Sprinkle evenly with the Mozzarella cheese on top.
  15. Cover and bake for 35 minutes.
  16. Remove from the oven. Remove the cover and let sit for 5 minutes and serve.
