Baked Frozen Green Beans
Do you have Frozen Green Beans in your freezer? I wanted to try something different with our Frozen Green Beans that we picked from our garden and I am so glad that I did! There weren’t any leftovers and my 4-year-old grandson went back for seconds! Of course the secret to the great taste is the bacon…lol
Ingredients
Cover a small baking sheet with foil.
Place the cooked and crumbled bacon
evenly on the bottom of the pan.
Lay the green beans on top of the bacon
trying not to overlap the beans.
Spray the beans with cooking oil.
Sprinkle the beans with the rest of the ingredients,
one at a time and evenly over the beans.
Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven
for 10-15 minutes or until the beans and
cheese start to turn golden brown then serve.

I don’t blame your grandson for wanting seconds!
I was shocked! Lol
Haha! 🙂
All the little boys I know would refuse anything, unless it had chocolate in it!
Oh yes the way to any mans heart is with chocolate! Young or old! Just ask my husband…lol
Hahaha!
Will definitely try this out when I’m back home!!!
You won’t be sorry! I couldn’t believe how delicious it was and certainly didn’t expect our 4 and 7 year old grandkids to love it too!
I shall update you!!!
hmmm. might be great with Okra…vw
Oh YES! Great idea!
What on earth is Okra?
I discovered it last year when my husband planted it in our garden, it is a vegetable. We have grown it 2 years in a row now. If cooked correctly, it is fabulous. If not, it is slimy and not so good. It is great in soups too. It has these round white seeds that I love. It is great breaded and fried, baked etc.
Ok, thanks for explaining!
Its a plant based food. you either like it or you don’t. But it’s great in gumbo. https://bonnieplants.com/growing/growing-okra/
Ok, thanks
one word – easy. oops I forgot, also fun recipe, oh well, three words will do. 😜
I thought you were going to say you were going to use them for green bean casserole.
That’s one dish I have never liked…lol
Do you prepare a spicier way to enjoy the green beans Diane? My mom used to bake them the traditional way, but then sometimes she’d just dump the beans, mushroom soup, and fried onions into a pot and cook it that way – I go one step further and just take some of the Oscar Mayer Carving Board chicken, cut it a little smaller and throw it in and one-pot wonder!
I saw this story online tonight Diane … I know you don’t care for green bean casserole but the lady who created green bean casserole passed away … she created other things with Campbell’s soup as well. Interesting to read: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/dorcas-reilly-green-bean-casserole-inventor-dies_us_5bd0b7a7e4b0d38b587f4323?fbclid=IwAR2tTfDm0FPQSq-YFrvDYTR9eRXRc22qNLaAKD9aOcKT5k9WT7e_0Wl67BM
