Slow Cooker Chicken With Crispy Skin

IMG_1053

Super, super easy Slow Cooker Chicken With Crispy Skin turns out delicious every time! I make a lot of Slow Cooker Chicken and I make it with many different flavors. I love experimenting with different seasonings to make different tasting meals. I always make extra chicken so I can have leftovers for lunch. The way I get the skin crispy is I take the chicken out of the slow cooker and put it under the broiler for a few minutes before serving it. I was very pleased with how delicious this turned out.

Ingredients

1 chicken cut into pieces

1 pouch dry Lipton Onion Soup

1 pouch brown dry gravy

1/2 stick cold butter cut into tablespoon pieces

Directions

Place cut up chicken pieces into the slow cooker skin side up. Sprinkle dry onion soup and dry brown gravy over chicken. Put butter pieces evenly on top of chicken pieces. Put the lid on and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until no longer pink inside. Turn chicken pieces over 1-2 hours before removing from the slow cooker. Cover a baking sheet with foil. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on the baking sheet skin side up. Place under the broiler (leaving the oven door ajar) to crisp the skin, watching carefully so it doesn’t burn. Turn over to crisp both sides. Use the juices in the slow cooker to drizzle over the chicken when you serve it if you wish.
