Thanks again Ned!
Apple pie is synonymous with autumn. We’re celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend and I may just look for an apple pie in the store! Have a nice weekend, Diane!
Sorry I am late wishing you a Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Ab. I hope it turned out delicious and it was a good time.
Thanks Diane. No more turkey for a long while for me please. 🤣
🤣😂🤣
A perfect Fall recipe, Diane. A slice of that with my pumpkin cold brew…a great slice of life!
Oh yes, a delicious combination Bruce!
Love this perfect, no-fuss fall dessert!
It sure was easy and the house smelled good too! Thank you!
Perfect for fall!
It sure is Linda! Thank you
The smells of Fall are my favorite … apples especially. This looks good and I will bet it smells heavenly while baking it.
If you love spice cake you would love this. My older grand kids didn’t like the spicy flavor so yesterday I made them zucchini cake, then the were happy.
You are such a nice grandmother to your grandchildren! Are you still getting zucchinis from the garden?
No I stopped at a farm stand. I sent most of it home with them.
I guess this colder weather and rain will put a damper on farm stands now.
You’re right, we ripped out our garden, the tomatoes started tasting awful.
Yes, but if you take it apart and put it in smaller bags, it crystallizes. I read an article on MSN that the healthiest bread to eat is whole-grain sourdough. I’ve never seen that in the store. I am guessing it would be good. I wish Rustik would make it. I like their sourdough but don’t buy it too often as the sodium content is 250 mg for one slice – they are huge slices though.
Wow that’s a lot of sodium. I’m so lucky because my sodium level is almost too low and I use a lot of salt.
Yes it is – admittedly they are large slices, but they are so good, with just butter on them. One piece could be cut in half for a sandwich, but still. That’s amazing since you use a lot of salt. I remember my mom did too for cooking, then she said “we have to cut down now” to avoid health issues. We went to the fake salt after that. But that’s not good as you need the iodine in your body and that’s the only way to get it.
I don’t add a lot of salt while cooking in my meals, however, I have the salt shaker next to me at every meal. I don’t even have high blood pressure but my hubby does so it works out good this way.
That is interesting that you are eating salt and it doesn’t affect your blood pressure. I try to watch my blood pressure, but everything has salt – even milk!
It all comes down to genetics!
Yes, this is very true!
Yum!
Thanks!
You’re a wizard, Diane! Who thinks of this? I may try it!
These “dump” recipes are hit or miss for me. This one is delicious unless you make it for your grandkids that don’t like spice. I was still eating it for a week! So a few days ago I made them the chocolate zucchini cake, almost all of that went home with them. Lol
