These Pork Chops turned out so delicious that I will be making them again. Breaded in seasoned flour, browned then baked in the oven with the homemade BBQ sauce. This was a really nice change from regular pork chops!
In a small bowl combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, dried oregano, dried basil, salt and pepper.
Stir to combine well then pour onto a plate.
Coat both sides of the pork chops in the flour mixture, pressing the mixture onto the pork chop with your hand.
Add the oil to a large skillet and heat on medium high.
Spray an oven safe dish with cooking oil. You can use a 9” x 13”, I used my 4 quart casserole dish.
Add the pork chops to the hot oil.
Cook until both sides are browned. You are not cooking the pork chops, just browning them. Lay them in your prepared dish without overlapping them.
In a bowl combine the ketchup, water, Gochujang paste and brown sugar then pour over the pork chops.
Bake uncovered in a preheated 350º oven for one hour or until tender.
Drizzle any leftover BBQ sauce over the top then serve.

Telepathy! I took pork chops out of the freezer for dinner tonight and didn’t know what I was going to do with them, but thanks Diane … dinner is sorted! (I’m not sure about the Gochujang paste though – but I’ll find something to replace it with).
How funny Corna! The Gochujang paste was something I added at the last minute. Next time I will add twice as much. It is new for us so I love experimenting with it. This would be good even without it.
