Peanut Butter & Chocolate Buckeyes

Buckeyes are peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar rolled into a ball then dipped into melted chocolate chips, no baking required. To see my step by step directions with pictures and a printable recipe card click HERE.

Bernadette, a wonderful friend at NewClassicRecipe.com, asked if I would participate in a Christmas traditions post, of course I said yes. Click her link below and see what she wrote about my Christmas traditions and while you’re at it check out her recipes too!

  1. Hi Diane – what a nice post Bernadette wrote. I commented but it must have gone to SPAM or moderation. That’s a nice tradition with the “Happy Birthday Jesus” cake. There used to be a Meijer employee who has now retired but he said that to every customer at/around the holidays and at Easter he said “Happy Resurrection Day.” I mentioned in my comment that I could not have dealt with the mess o’ spiders and how fun it sounds for hiding the pickle. You know how I feel about the Buckeyes as my mom used to make them … chocolate and peanut butter are the perfect combo.

    • Actual buckeyes look exactly like the candy buckeye in my picture. Buckeyes grow on a large tree in clusters. When I was growing up we had one in our yard and we would collect them, drill through the center and make necklaces.

  2. Go Buckeyes! I’m an OHIO State Buckeye Fan!

I love the delicious Buckeye candy that you share here!
I have a gorgeous Buckeye necklace that is varnished so beautifully! I love it!

    Merry Christmas! And Go Buckeyes!
