Air Fryer Chicken Leg Quarters

Crispy golden brown skin without breading, moist and delicious meat and very little mess. This has become our favorite way to make Air Fryer Chicken Leg Quarters.

Spray the pan with cooking oil and preheat the
air fryer to 400º for 5 minutes with the pan in it.

Rinse the chicken with water
and pat dry with a paper towel.

Drizzle olive oil over the chicken. Using your hands,
rub the oil all over the chicken making sure
you don’t miss a spot or it won’t brown.

Add your favorite seasoning, we love Adobo
on ours. Using your hands rub the seasoning
into the chicken making sure it is on both sides.

Place the chicken, skin side down, into the hot pan. (I had too many leg quarters to lay flat so I leaned mine against the side making sure there was air between the pan and the chicken.) Cook for 20 minutes then turn the chicken skin side up. Continue to cook until the thickest part of the thigh is 165º, checking after 5 minutes. Each piece is a different thickness so check the temperature of each piece before removing. Do not overcook or they will be dry.

😋😋😋
Thank you they are very crispy and delicious! I hope you can give them a try some day.
It is definitely a dish to do absolutely, 😉. Chicken is really great no matter how you cook it, and certainly cooked this way is really delicious too. 😋
Thank you very much for the recipe of chicken leg quarters.Take care madam.🌹🙏
Thank you Francis!
My pleasure.🌹🙏
Yummy 😋
Thank you Siva!
Welcome 🙏
Fried chicken is one of my comfort foods. The way you prepared it using the Air Fryer looks like how they serve it in Vietnamese restaurants and look delish. I really do need to invest in an AirFryer! 😋
It is amazing and so crispy. You won’t be sorry if you do invest in one. Wings are amazing in it too!
I can’t believe it when someone says they don’t have an air fryer!! We have 3, all different sizes. One of them is used most everyday!
I know right! We only have two….lol
I love my air fryer. Don’t tell my husband😛. Luscious-looking chicken.
Hahaha thank you Bernadette!
Yes. This is how to fry chicken. That little bit of crunch makes all the difference.
The skin was the best part…lol Thanks Matt!
I have cooked drumstick in my air fryer, but not leg quarters. Will have to give it a go. Yours look delicious, Diane.
Thanks KT! I was afraid the legs would dry out but they didn’t and tasted great.
You’re becoming the Air Fryer Queen Diane!
Hahaha the food tastes so good in it. I put hot dogs in today and they taste like the grill!
Are you logging a lot of time in your cabana?
Not enough but I did get my beautiful and huge table I bought for it last year water protected and my husband and granddaughter carried it onto the cabana. I was just telling my mother in law to come over some evening and we can sit and have lemonade out there. (Mikes Hard Lemonade) lol
Oh that’s good – you can entertain and look at the beautiful flowers and pond at the same time. You’re missing this bad weather then if you were going to sit outside.
Yes we haven’t even had a drop of rain today and we need it.
We had rain twice yesterday … mid-day and then quite a lot around 10:00 p.m. It was very humid out there this morning. “Air you can wear” is what our radio meteorologist calls it.
Haha I love that saying, I’ll have to remember that one.
I liked it too and it is true.
These look quite crispy!
They were very crispy, I love them fixed this way Dorothy. Thank you!
mmmmm. great way to get some nice dark meat and good fats 🙂
Yes!!! They are so delicious and crispy too. I wish I had found air frying years ago! Thank you! ❤️
I know the air fryer is also nice in the summer when we don’t have to have the over on – such a great appliance
Oh definitely true! I was lazy at lunch time and threw frozen store bought chicken nuggets in my air fryer today. Yes the were meant for the grandkids! 🤷🏽♀️
hahah – the nuggets sound good
—
and one of our favorite things to do is make a couple pack of chicken thighs in the air fryer
eat some and the rest go n the fridge – and then the reheat is the best part.
—
take one or two of the cold and already cooked thighs and gently tear it into pieces – air fry the heck out it (well make it crispy) and then we Mae a sauce – 1/2 Irish butter and 1/2 red Hot hot sauce – and it is snacking on crunchy chicken that is healthy
Hahaha I covered my nuggets in Franks hot sauce! What a great idea for reheating the chicken (if only we had leftovers)!
yeah – leftovers are not always a given are they?
_
and cheers to Frank’s sauce – one of the best
Thanks! 🥰
That machine does look like it does a good job. Glad it’s working out so well for you, Diane.
Thanks I wish I had bought one sooner but I can’t complain since it was a gift…lol
Ha! Too bad you hadn’t been gifted it sooner, then. 🙂
Watering in my mouth..! Yummy..!😋
Thank you the air fryer is my new favorite gadget!
Oh that’s so awesome..!
Awesome!!! I recently bought one of these contraptions and I am in love.
I agree they are the best! I have loved mine from the start!
Thanks Diane. I am always looking for recipes that I will actually use for my air fryer. I am just starting to get used to it.
You should type air fryer in my search box I have some other favorites of ours.
I will do that, thanks.
This was the BEST thing ive ever had
Cooking in the air fryer is always so good!
