Easy Fruit Filled Hand Pies
These are the easiest and tastiest Fruit Filled Hand Pies I have ever made! Even beginner cooks can make this one. They are made using store bought frozen puff pastry (which tastes absolutely amazing) and filled with canned pie filling! I added both fruit and cream cheese to my Easy Fruit Filled Hand Pies. Serve this to your family and they will go crazy. They were out of this world delicious!

Awesome, Diane! You mentioned beginner cooks can do it?? I’m all in with that! 👍 Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome! You don’t have to mix anything, just cut, fill and seal. So simple!
I just sent this to my wife! Can’t wait
Yay!!! Enjoy!!! Let me know how you like them.
Can I buy those for $20? Lol
You can have them for $10:00…lol
Mmmm. I bet you’re not doing anyone’s New Years diet resolutions any good Diane. The cream cheese addition sounds delicious.
Shhhh I tell them they are calorie free…lol Every time we have gone to Amish country I have wanted to try their bagged pie filling and bagged cream cheese filling. I broke down and bought one of each. They were great in these pies but then there was a ton left over! I won’t buy that much again…hahaha
Better than Hostess!
Now that is one of the nicest comments I have ever received! Thank you Linda!
Happy to put a smile on your face Diane. We went to Shipshewana in Indiana one time, and if you’ve never been there before, it is an Amish town. So one of the women liked strawberry-rhubarb and made little pies, and jam and we bought some. That was a a treat for my mom who would stand stewing strawberries and rhubarb to put over ice cream or on toast and making pies every year.
I will go some day, my brother lives in Indiana! My mother-in-law went there a few years ago and brought us such nice gifts!
It’s been years since I went with my mom – has to be 20 at least. We also went to St. Jacob in Ontario – stayed at a little bed and board called “Jakobstettel” – I believe they were Mennonites in that town.
That is why I want to retire. I love little day or weekend trips like that. What wonderful memories. You two did a lot together!
I like those little day trips too Diane. I used to add a few days to most of the long weekends to make it seem like a longer time off, almost like a mini vacation. I look forward to retirement too, because with working you are depending on the weather to be nice on your days off – it’s bad enough if it rains or is crummy on weekends, but on your vacation time, is really a bummer – when you’re retired, every day is vacation.
Yum-these look great!
They were amazing. I love puff pastry and pie filling..lol Thank you so much Nancy!
Hmm yummy
Apple are my favorite fruit pies. Of course, I love chocolate pies as well. 🙂 I have been watching the British Bake Off Show which has tons of tips on baking. So far I have made no attempts but I like reading and watching (and tasting) of course.
Oh give it a try. It gets easier the more you make. Start with a simple recipe like soup. If you ever have any questions just ask me. I would be thrilled to help!
These look wonderful! Id love to have one right now 😊💗
Oh if only I could eat just one…hahahaha Thank you Lisa!
Fabulous
😱😱 I love these kinds of pastries lol. You literally post the best desserts ever!!
Puff pastry is a favorite freezer stash in our house, from sweet to savory, and ready to use in a half hour!
Oh yes! I would never attempt to take the time to make it because it is so good and easy from the store! Thanks Dorothy!
I made it. Once…
LOL Puff Pastry was a lot of work I’m sure! It also is so time consuming. Kudos to you for making it once!
It was fun at first, then a little tedious, and in the end I decided that this was one task I would delegate to others except in a special occasion!
Do you feel homemade tasted any better?
Truthfully, no! As long as you use a pastry made with butter, I think you’re all set.
That’s how I feel too! The frozen tasted amazing and was so easy to use.
Dang. This looks so delcious!
They really are and so addicting…lol Thank you!
I love simple and delicious! How well do they transport? My husband often takes the Drake’s version of these in apple to work for his lunch.
They are a bit more pastry like than Drakes due to the puff pastry. I really can’t say for sure though because mine never made it past the counter..hahaha
