You know I love to post recipes that are different from the normal recipes. One of my fellow bloggers posted this Coconut Toast and I just had to try it. I am so glad that I did! This was the most delicious toast but I did decrease the amount of sugar from the original recipe slightly. I only made 1/4 of the recipe since I was the only one eating it. You don’t add anything else to it after it is baked. I was thinking it would turn out like French Toast but not even close. I’m not even sure if I can explain how it tasted other than great….but here goes. It was very crunchy like a piece of toast browned in a toaster. I picked it up and ate it right out of the oven. It was sweet as if it had syrup on it yet it was not wet at all. It had a slight toasted coconut flavor and made a perfect breakfast for me.

This looks yummy and something my daughter would love!
It really was delicious! Such a refreshing different flavor. I expected the coconut to fall off when you bit into it and it all stayed together…yum!
This is one of those posts that made me do a double take when it dropped into my email. Was I reading that right?! Never heard of putting coconut on toast before! Great discovery, I may just have to try this!
Yes! That is what happened to me when I found it. I can not believe have good it was and it was so easy to make! Although it was a little sweet for me, I adjusted the sugar to make it to my liking. Definitely a keeper recipe!
I’m more of a savoury person (mostly) so I’d probably do the same.
I can’t bring up your site???
How strange! I’ll look into it! Should be downontheplot.com (runs off to check domain hosting!)
Isn’t it though! However, it tasted amazing! Give it a try! How is a your pumpkin doing. Our garden has finished producing.
Pumpkin is still going strong. I have a few other smaller ones also. I’m hoping we don’t start getting any frosts any time soon as they’re not quite ready to harvest. My tomatoes are still green. I’ll have to bring them in to ripen soon. It’s going cold now.
It worked on the laptop. It’s not going through on my mobile. How strange. Thanks for flagging this up for me.
I’m so glad you tried it and liked it! LOL Thank you! 🙂
