Monkey Bread With Cinnamon
Who doesn’t love this gooey cinnamon Monkey Bread? It’s like eating freshly baked cinnamon rolls without all the work. I made this in my cast iron bread pan but any bread pan will work.
According to Wikipedia, Monkey Bread was named this because it is picked apart when we eat it just like a monkey does with their food. The name has definitely stuck because it has been called this for as long as I can remember.
This bread can also be made with brown sugar sprinkled all over the top before baking. You can make a white frosting and drizzle it all over the top after baking. Any way you fix it, it is so good!!!
Ingredients
Grease a bread pan.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
Cut your bread dough into 18 pieces and roll into balls.
Dip in the melted butter and then in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Place dough balls in the bread pan, three across and six lengthwise.
Drizzle any leftover butter over the top,
then sprinkle leftover cinnamon mixture.
Place bread pan in a warm place for about 40 minutes.
Let the dough rise until it doubles in size.
Bake in a preheated oven for 35-40 minutes
or until lightly brown on top. Let it sit on a
cooling rack for 2 minutes. Use a spatula
and loosen bread from the sides. Place
a large plate on top of the bread and flip
the bread pan over releasing the Monkey
Bread. Let it sit for 10 minutes to cool
before eating. Wrap with plastic wrap
if you have any leftovers.

Oh yes it sure did!!! Thank you and have a great week ateafan!
And yet there are still people who deny the existence of Monkey Bread. I’ve seen people (“baking experts”) go back and forth about whether there is or isn’t something called Monkey Bread. I’m going to try this because I’ve never had it by any name.
They can never take away the legendary Monkey Bread…lol If you like cinnamon rolls, you will love this. If you like sweet, drizzle with white frosting/glaze after they cool.
I’m definitely trying this once I’ve made some bread dough lol ……
Yum! My baby loves monkey bread or gorilla bread for Christmas brunch!
My daughters favorite as well! Have a great week!

And it’s still good as an adult….lolo

And it never seems to last long…lol
Now THAT I will do😍
No way am I making this. It’s a binge risk. I know me…I’d eat all of it in one sitting💜
Hahahaha you are probably right. You pull one little baked dough ball off and it’s so small. Then another and another! The secret is making it when there are a lot of people around…lol
Now THAT I will do😍
You had me at cinnamon roll-like! 😀
Hahaha I know right! Thanks Robin!
Yum! Im a sweet tooth. My friend challenged me to stop eating sweats for a week, lets just say I found ur blog and all these delicious sweet recipes, 😛 how could I STOP eating sweets? (fyi I only lasted 2 days)
Hahahaha I know how you feel!
well! one learns something every day and Monkey bread never heard of. See the point but we call it cinnamon bread. ill try your way tonight for next day. Not a lover of sweetness but will try it. I love chocolate 75 % dark and smooth. 90 % is too bitter I think. I will try it poured over and set on your bread recipe later. Thank you for your ideas. Thanks for reading my blog on sirkevinshistoricfacts.com
The secret to this bread is rolling the little balls of dough. When it bakes and you go to eat it, do not cut it. It pulls apart at all the dough ball sections. Thank you!
Wow,wow wow! I could almost smell it.
Oh you know it! I wish they made an air freshener like that! lol Thanks Chris!
Mmm! I might try this with some chopped apple.
That is a wonderful idea!!!!! I just may have to do that too now! Thanks-great idea!
