Apple Crisp
This recipe has been around for years! I like this recipe because it doesn’t make a huge amount. It is made in a 8” x 8” baking dish. This quick and easy recipe is great for snacks or to use as a dessert. Oh the smell of apples and cinnamon baking in the house….yum!
Ingredients
In a medium size bowl add flour,
brown sugar, oats and butter.
Mix with a fork until crumbly.
Lightly spray a 8” by 8” baking
dish with cooking spray.
Divide oat mixture in half.
Put half into the baking dish and
press it down creating a crust.
Place apples on top of the
crust evenly. In a small bowl
combine sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly
over the apples. Top with the
last half of the oat mixture.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree
oven for 35-40 minutes or
until lightly brown on top.
Serve warm or let cool and serve.

Thank you for the nice comment! I am so excited to start my fall baking!
Sounds great and easy enough for me to tackle!
Very easy recipe! I used 4 medium Apples in my recipe. Hardest part of this is peeling the apples…lol I don’t know why, but I don’t like peeling things but in the end it is worth it!
I finally made it and it was delicious!!!! My husband loved it. I used Honey Crisp and McIntosh, sooo good.
I’m so glad you liked it! I’m thinking about trying pumpkin pie that way next.
Hmmm, that would be interesting. I’ll stay tuned.
We will be over in 15 minutes! 🙂
Too late! Plenty of apples though so I will make more…lol
I love apple desserts! I just made my Grandma’s apple cobbler and will be posting it soon. Fall is so fun!
Isn’t it wonderful how apples remind you of your grandma? There is nothing like recipes passed down
from generation to generation! Looking forward to seeing it!
