White Russian Cocktail

A White Russian Cocktail is made with Kahlua. Kahlua has rum in it along with coffee. What I love about this drink is you can add vodka or leave it out and it still tastes great. You don’t have to be a bartender to make this cocktail!

yummm
I love Kahlua Beth, so delicious!
Isn’t a White Russian Cocktail made with vodka? According to Love To Know they say The white Russian cocktail expands the Black Russian recipe with the addition of heavy cream. Be sure to use heavy cream because the fat content keeps the vodka from curdling the dairy.
Ingredients
Ice
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce Kahlúa
1 ounce heavy cream
Instructions
Add ice to a rocks glass.
Add the vodka and Kahlúa. Stir.
Top with the heavy cream.
And they mention the Kalua to use in a White Russian is plain kalua which is made of dark coffee and butter among other ingredients.
Yes that is why in my post I said this is a White Russian my way, I’m not a big lover of alcohol. Lol
Apologies. I wasn’t trying to say you were wrong. Just wanted to express what I knew about it. My grandfather was German but he love White Russians. My parents like Mia Tias (not sure if spelling it right) My wife loved mimosas. And a cocktail I found at Eureka’s I like is a Wild Child – made of, vodka, watermelon, mint, lemon, aloe, rosé, and habanero salt.
Oh please don’t feel bad Randy I’m just not a big drinking and tend to make my drinks with little alcohol. I probably should have titled the post White Russian My Way. Lol
Happy days. Living just 45 miles from Russian border anything Russian we avoid . They all all white Russians and the greatest threat to civil law and peace ever known to man
Yikes I can only imagine living that close, but I’m sure the nature of your area is stunning. Happy New Year!

Naughty Santa! 🤣
This should’ve been my morning coffee today! 😆
I love that idea! Lol
delish!
I agree Beth!
Oh boy, this brings me back! My mom loved making these when I was in high school, a she let me have a little sip now and then.
Haha kids love that!
Used to be a fave. Now I prefer a Black Russian as my only mixed drink. But of course nothing can beat out wine!
You both are the wine sommeliers!
Kahlua and Carnation Milk – we would have some here for the holidays back in the day.
Oh wow Linda, are you talking about evaporated milk? What a fun way to get a different flavor from Half-n Half or cream. Thank you!
Yes, I should have said that because I think Carnation brand makes powdered milk too. Yes, Carnation or Pet Evaporated milk with Kahlua – very easy and not that strong.
I haven’t seen a recipe for these in some time – I had an aunt-in-law who enjoyed them!
My recipe is the alcohol scaled back version, calls for vodka too but I leave that out.
Oh no – flash back to college and bad decisions of drinking one too many (and that would be 2 for me a light weight) white russians – ha!
They seem to go down like water, you can’t stop drinking them. Lol
