Air Fryer Cinnamon Roll Bites
Do you love cinnamon rolls but you don’t like all the work that goes into them? I made these with canned cinnamon rolls that I sliced each roll into four pieces, I rolled them into small balls, cooked them in the air fryer then rolled them in a glaze (optional). I air fried these in 8 – 10 minutes and they disappeared fast! I am learning to like to Air Fry!
Adapted from: Pillsbury.com
Ingredient for the cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients for the glaze.
Cut a piece of oven safe parchment paper to
fit the bottom of the basket in your air fryer.
In a small bowl add the powdered sugar,
vanilla and milk. Stir with a fork until
completely combined then set aside.
Remove the cinnamon rolls from the can,
place them on a plate and cut each one into
four equal pieces with a thin sharp knife.
Roll each cut piece tightly into small balls
and then place them on the parchment paper
in the air fryer basket without touching.
Do NOT preheat the air fryer.
Turn the air fryer to 330 degrees and cook
for 3 – 4 minutes. Carefully turn them over.
Cook another 3 – 4 minutes or
until they are as brown as you like.
Remove a few and immediately
drop them into the glaze.
Turn them over to coat them
completely using a slotted spoon.
Remove the cinnamon roll bites from the
glaze and place them on a rack allowing the
excess glaze to drip off then repeat with
the remaining cinnamon roll bites.
Let the glaze harden then serve.

Ingredients
- 1 can cinnamon rolls, 8 count
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- milk
Directions
- Cut a piece of oven safe parchment paper to fit the bottom of the air fryer basket.
- In a small bowl, using a fork, combine the powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk to make a glaze. It needs to be thin enough to drip off of the cinnamon bites but thick enough to leave a glaze coating on the cinnamon bites. Set aside.
- Remove the cinnamon rolls from the can and cut each one into four equal pieces using a sharp thin knife.
- Roll each cut piece tightly into a small ball so they don’t come apart.
- Place the small balls into the air fryer basket, on the parchment paper, without touching each other.
- Do not preheat the air fryer. Put the basket into the air fryer and turn to 330 degrees for 3 – 4 minutes.
- Carefully turn the cinnamon bites over then cook another 3 – 4 minutes or until as brown as you like them.
- Place a few of the cinnamon bites into the glaze. Using a slotted spoon, turn the bites over completely coating them with the glaze.
- Place the cinnamon bites onto a rack allowing the excess glaze to drip off. Repeat with the remaining cinnamon bites.
- Let the glaze harden then serve.

I really didn’t think I would like it and it took me a while to use it (I’m so use to cooking on the stove and in the oven). But everything we make in it has been fabulous! Thanks Ab.

My daughter has been nagging me to buy an Air Fryer, I don’t know.
I have had mine for a couple years. First all we made was French fries (awesome) then I tried wings (more awesome) then bone in skin on chicken thighs (amazing) and now these cinnamon bites. I have not made one thing that we didn’t go WOW! I don’t know why I don’t use it even more because everything has been amazing so far. I hate frying and the chicken and wings tasted like they were fried and that is with no breading. If you decide to get one, buy the largest one you can.
Those rolls look delicious. Thanks for the recipe.
You are very welcome!!!! Thanks!
My husband loves cinnamon buns! I think they are his favourite
I’m with him They are so addicting!
These sound great – I have made some cinnamon scrolls from scratch only recently and they were such a drama I’ve decided I will stick to just eating them from my local cafe, but these sound cool!

There is nothing better than eating them made from scratch (or a cafe), however, this was a great way to get the delicious taste easily With better portion control. I could eat 4 bites and it was only 1 roll. Thank you Donna and have a fantastic week!
I love cinnamon rolls. Spent a lot of $ at Cinnabon. Time to put money back in my purse and make them myself. Thanks for the inspiration Diane.
You are very welcome!!!!! 💐🌺🌷
Looks so good.
Thank you Christy we loved them.
one of my most favourite things. I used to make from scratch though with my niece. Wishing I had some now.
Nothing is better than from scratch. ❤️ Have a great day Barb!
Now if we can only eat on or two at a time!
Right that was the reason I liked them. Take 4 and it seems like your getting a lot yet it was only 1 actual cinnamon roll.
I like these cinnamon rolls as is, but this an interesting take. I’m thinking my grandbaby would love them. I’ll let you know.
We found them very good. They lost that doughy taste you get when making them whole. Can’t wait to see what you think. How old is your grandbaby?
Grandbaby is 2 now. Actually 27 months and an adorable little monster! I see you have some too. What are their ages?
One grandson will be 2 on Halloween, then a 5 and 9 year old. I take care of my 5 & 9 year old a lot. My almost 2 year old lives over an hour away so I pick him up once a month for 3 days. Isn’t being a grandparent amazing!!!!!!
Oh wow – I could really get into these “bite-sized” tidbits in a big way. I remember the Cinnabon in the mall – that smell wafting right to your nostrils. After they left, going down that part of the mall was never the same.
You know it’s funny because I never cared for the Cinnabon. I agree the smell was amazing! Even the canned cinnamon rolls never appealed to me. Both always seemed doughy but by cutting each of the canned rolls into 4 pieces they were cooked perfectly for me. SOOOO GOOD!!! Thanks Linda and have a great week!
We only got the little ones – the big ones were really too big to enjoy on the spot in the mall. My mom made small cinnamon rolls but not with yeast, but used Bisquick mix and they were not so gooey and doughy that way (as she didn’t care for anything doughy – not even bread). They were good and smelled up the entire house. They looked a little like over-sized Hershey Kisses, not really flat and full of raisins and cinnamon, but nothing gooey on them like icing.
I just keep loving your mom more and more.
These look delicious! Yum!
Thanks you Saania!
Wow! Are you kidding me? They look fantastic
They tasted pretty darn good too! Thanks ❤️
These look amazing! I have never heard of air frying, sounds very interesting!
It is a countertop appliance that fry’s the food without all the grease.
That sounds wonderful! I’ll have to look into it…
I am always looking for an excuse to use my air fryer!! Looks so tasty!!
I loved them better than in the oven. I never cared for canned cinnamon rolls but THESE WERE SO GOOD! Thank you Carly!
Isn’t it great how convenient air fryers are?! I don’t know how I got by without one for so many years..
Yes I am making chicken in mine tonight. No oil, no breading but crisp and juicy. It amazes me! Who ever thought up the air fryer is a genius!
How on earth did I miss this post??
Get us some Dunkin Dark and eat ourselves silly!
Hahahaha sounds good to me!
Superb..I like cinnamon flavour!
