Cheddar Cheese Sauce

Need a quick Cheddar Cheese Sauce to make macaroni and cheese? How about cheese for your veggies or even potatoes? Try this quick homemade cheese sauce that can be made in minutes! This recipe makes about 1-1/2 cups of Cheddar Cheese Sauce.

Ingredients

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.

Add the flour and whisk until smooth.

Add the milk, salt and pepper and continue to whisk and heat until thick and bubbly.

Remove from the heat and add the cheese whisking until the cheese is completely melted. Add to your food and enjoy!

Cheddar Cheese Sauce

2 Tbl butter

2 Tbl flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper, white or black

1 cup milk

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.

Using  whisk, mix in the flour whisking until smooth.

Add the milk all at once and stir constantly until the mixture is thick and bubbly.

Remove from the heat and add the cheese. Stir until all of the cheese is melted.

Makes about 1-1/2 cup of cheddar cheese sauce.
