Homemade Alfredo Baked Spaghetti Recipe

Spaghetti noodles tossed with a creamy homemade Alfredo sauce that is made with two types of cheese and baked in the oven. You could add cooked chicken pieces for a completely different taste.

In a large pot cook the pasta according to package directions in salted water (about one tablespoon) for one minute less than the package directions states.

Drain pasta.

In a medium pot, melt the butter over medium heat.

Whisk in the flour, whisking constantly.

Cook until golden brown and the sauce smells nutty, about 2 minutes.

Slowly whisk in the cream and milk. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened, whisking frequently, about 5 minutes then remove from the heat.

Add both kinds of cheese, garlic powder and salt, whisk until the cheese melts.

Put pasta back into the pot, pour the sauce over it and toss to combine.

Spray a 9” x 13” oven safe dish with cooking oil.

Pour pasta with sauce into the prepared baking dish. Bake in a preheated 375º oven on the middle rack until the edges are bubbling, about 20 minutes or until it starts to brown.

Garnish with parsley (optional) then serve.

Yes! Yummy! ☺️
I can’t wait to try this one. I am always looking for recipes that have only a few ingredients and not a lot of veggies or weird things I have to buy. Thank you for this one!
It is a delicious alfredo sauce and plenty of it. If I want Alfredo with my pasta, I want plenty. Lol
My mom would have liked this dish Diane – she loved her baked spaghetti for leftovers. I would have liked the Alfredo taste … a win-win for both!
One time I had both leftover and I combined them, SO good!
That sounds awesome Diane … now I am hungry!
Thank you Linda!
Hmm. That looks good. I think adding chicken–or any kind of meat would really ramp up its appeal.
Broccoli too! I wasn’t sure how it would turn out for the first time so next time it’s chicken and broccoli added for me. Thank you Linda!
That looks very hearty and perfect for these cooler autumn days!
