Air Fryer Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich

Crunchy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside. Have you ever put peanut butter on your hot toast, and it starts to melt? That has always been a favorite of mine but then again, I love a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich as well.
I had some Uncrustable’s in the freezer and I wondered what it would be like if I put one in the air fryer and it turned out delicious and so does a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that you make yourself.

Thaw the Uncrustable or make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

In the microwave melt 2 Tbsp of butter in a small bowl.

Brush the butter all over both sides of the bread.

Place the sandwich in the air fryer at 390º for 4 minutes. Turn sandwich over and continue to air fry until golden brown, checking every minute. Remove when both sides are a golden brown.

Then Serve it warm.

This looks like a great idea. Still not taken the plunge and tried an air fryer yet, but this certainly sounds delicious!
I use mine all the time Paul. Wings are my favorite thing. Thank you!
Ooo… this sounds good. We do like PBJ’s and eat them every so often. I wonder if this would work with brioche bread? That’s the bread we usually use. Thanks for the recipe!
Any bread should work Betty. The time will depend on the thickness of the bread so as long as it gets golden like toast it should be done.
Oh my goodness!
It was so good, thank you Dorothy.
Omg!! can’t wait to try this!
It was so good, I’m looking forward to making more! Enjoy Vickie!
I’ll have to try air frying T’s peanut butter sandwich next time! A neat idea!
Let me know if he likes it, I loved it.
You are truly amazing. A culinary mind for all ages. 🍷🍷
Thank you JC. I Was just too lazy to make dinner. Lol
I would never thought of doing that but it does sound delicious.
It was delicious Linda, all warm and gooey.
It’s like the hobo pies we used to make over the fire when camping.
Yes! We bought the pie irons and make them in our back yard campfires. You gave me a great idea Carla! We love pie filling in ours, I will have to try them in the air fryer! Thank you!!!!
That looks delicious Diane – I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches too. But warm PB&J would be twice as good!
It was even better than I thought it would be Linda. Probably because I brushed melted butter on the bread. 😋
Butter makes it better!
I love peanut butter on toast! I’ll have to try this.
You will love it then!
You are SO inventive! I must send this to my sister….
Thanks!
Thank you for reposting 🥰
Wow this is a new one Diana. Love it! I’m gonna wing it with whole wheat bread. What do you think? I just got an air fryer
Oh yes any bread should work, just keep a watch on it. What fun you are going to have with your air fryer. Don’t be afraid to try anything. I cook wings, ribs, potato chips, even lobster tail. Too many things to type. I have a section of air fried food on my blog. If you find my search and type in air fried, all the air fried recipes I posted will be there. Have fun!
Oh good to know! I almost tried today! I’ll set the timer and that’s awesome to know …. I’ll have a look at yours. It really has added an element of fun to the drudgery of cooking Diana, thanks!!! ❤️
Enjoy!
thanks!!!
I was very surprised that our neighbours on our camping holiday had an air fryer in their tent … while I don’t even have one at home 😜. I’m definitely going to forward your recipe to her – she dished up wonderful food to her family with the air fryer!
Awe that’s not camping! When I camped I was like you guys, cooked over the fire or a camping stove. That’s the best part of camping is the taste and aroma from the fire/food. Don’t get me wrong, you know how much I love my air fryer just not for camping. I’m sure with all the rain the fire would be hard to maintain though. I fell in love with this PB&J sandwich, I bet they will love it too.
