Oh my, it looks absolutely delicious! Let me see … here are a few big apples in our fruit bowl. Hmm, a late afternoon snack sounds in order (and I can only imagine how nice the kitchen must smell when it comes out of the oven) 😉.

Diane, you make me want to cook. This looks so good! We’re traveling right now, but I’ll file this to make next Fall. I recently made 2 apple pies. A friend (who works at a farm) gave us a ton of apples, but they weren’t good for eating – just baking. Next year, I’ll make some apple fritter bread!

Perfect for the abundance of apples right now. I don’t know if you have Meijer grocery stores there, but when Meijer first opened, they had apple fritters – people would come from miles around to buy them. So large they filled up the entire wax paper bag amd were a meal in itself.
Meijer is where Terry shops. I will have to try and remember to have him look for them.
