It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 09-22-23

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is OPEN FACED OMELETTE. We love to have a breakfast meal for supper occasionally and this is really good!

We had a Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Chicken Thighs and stuffed with mascarpone, sour cream, garlic, smoked paprika and the bacon was honey smoked so extra delicious 😋
It sure sounds like it! Yummy!!
Last week on Saturday we bought the first Bay Boletes of the season. A very tasty, not expensive mushroom. Its flavours and aromas are similar to that of the cèpe (porcini, penny bun, steinpilze). We combine the bay boletes with guineafowl. Recipe on https://cookanddrink.org/2022/10/03/guineafowl-and-bay-bolete/
This sounds so tasty, I wish I had access to both! Thank you for sharing.
Also known as a frittata! I always say that if you have eggs, you have a meal.
I’ve only made one frittata recipe and I whisked in the whipped egg whites until foamy to make it fluffy. This one I don’t do that which makes it so you could pick it up like a pizza so I never thought about it being a frittata. There are so many things you can do with eggs, I miss my fresh chickens eggs! Lol
You had chickens? How brilliant
Yes it was a learning adventure for the kids. We raised them under a heat lamp in the basement then took them out to the pole barn as they grew. I made homemade noodles with the eggs for everyone for a Christmas gift. Then winter came and they stopped laying, learning adventure moved to the dinner table. Lol
Oops!
Here’s a vegan version https://viewfromtheback.com/2018/08/18/the-musette-vegan-tortilla-de-patatas/
Thank you for sharing Sheree. I learned something new (I had to Google it), waxy potatoes. We call them starchy potatoes.
So many linguistic differences between Us and UK English
That looks a treat
Thank you!
Diane, with this cancer, eggs are something I’m eating. I love them from my head to my legs, eggs! Thank you! Have a blessed day and take care! Thank you for sharing.
I’m so glad you have something (eggs) that you love with so much needed protein Karla! Keep eating because you will kick this cancer in the butt! 🥰
Thank you so much!!🥰🙌🏻🙏🏻❤️
Diane, this is a great idea – open face. It takes all the stress out of making an omelette.
Thank you Bernadette 🥰
I like breakfast for dinner, too. This looks really good!
Thank you Betty, have a great weekend!
I am on the road today so dinner will be on the fly. But I can guarantee that MacDonald’s is not a consideration.
Breakfast for dinner is a fave here too. Maybe tomorrow.
I hope you found a good Mom and Pop place!
Breakfast for dinner works for me too – this looks delicious Diane.
Thank you Linda!
