It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 08-18-23

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is ZUCCHINI BREAD. The recipe is at https://indianeskitchen.com/2018/08/19/zucchini-bread/.
This looks delicious. I like adding chocolate chips and pecans or walnuts. My wife came home with a bunch of zucchini her coworker gave here. I was thinking of making a Lemon Cranberry Zucchini bread with them.
I wish I liked nuts! What a great combination adding the lemon and cranberry! Thank you 🥰

Thank you! I wish I liked nuts! I only like peanuts and macadamia nuts in my cookies, I know, hard to believe! Now that we are retired we don’t get the coworker benefits. Lol Your lemon cranberry sounds good.
Yay! It’s zucchini bread time! Thanks for the recipe, Diane, sounds yummy.
You’re welcome Ermine, my family begs me to make it every year, enjoy!
This looks so fluffy
Thank you, it really is a light bread recipe.
My sister makes a load of this as my brother-in-law grows tons of zucchini.
I used to bake and freeze 35 loaves a year when my daughter lived at home. She couldn’t get enough of it.
I’m pretty sure that’s more than my sister but she gives most of hers away to friends and neighbours
I only allowed my daughter to eat one loaf per week until they were gone. But to be honest it took up so much room in my freezer that was my cut off total.
Understandable Diane
Here’s something to go with the Zucchini Bread https://viewfromtheback.com/2023/02/18/the-musette-super-duper-dip/
Thank you Sheree!
Zucchini bread just might be on the menu this weekend because I have some in my refrigerator.
Thanks for the reminder!
You’re welcome Leslie and enjoy!
It is the perfect time of the year to make zucchini bread and your recipe looks delicious.
Thank you so much Bernadette! 💕
A rare cook on Friday night meal – roasted brussel sprouts with chicken. Have a great weekend, Diane!
What a delicious meal and great way to keep your weight loss successfull.
I should add that I’m eating it with leftover fried chicken from Popeyes. 🤣
You are so funny! Of course you are picking off the breading right?🤣
We both love zucchini bread!
We ate out last night, good burgers from a local place here. So tonight is the night to clean out the refrigerator. We have a pork chop, 2 turkey burgers, egg plant, slaw and potato salad. I love leftovers!
Sounds like a wonderful meal to me! Thank you JC!
Zucchini bread served on a beautiful plate – simply wonderful!
Awe thank you for noticing Mary, it is my good china.
This looks really good and lots lighter (as in not as dense and heavy) than any zucchini bread I have ever made.
Thank you! It is light if you eat it and don’t freeze it, however, after it has been frozen it seems denser. Either way, it tastes delicious Linda.
Zucchini bread – the way to get your veggies in, so healthy and delicious!
I have tried a lot of zucchini bread in my life and this recipe has been my favorite for probably 20 years.
Healthy and tasty is a win-win!
