It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 7-7-23

It’s Blueberry season and I just finished day two of picking my blueberries. This recipe is more like a cake so I like to have it for dessert.
Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is BLUEBERRY LOAF CAKE. To see my step by step directions with pictures and a printable recipe card click HERE.

My fork is poised.

Thank you Sheree!
Pleasure
Our local supermarket has fresh, dark, juicy cherries on sale, so we simply have to make clafoutis. Recipe on https://cookanddrink.org/2020/07/29/clafoutis/
That sounds delicious!!!!!! Would sour cherries work too? I am picking up 10# at the end of the month. Thank you for your recipe!
Chef Raymond Blanc uses sour cherries for his clafoutis. Perhaps add extra sugar. Enjoy!
Thank you!
No that look good. Blueberry pie I adore too.Growing honey berries in garden for next summer harvest of a few at a time until established . They grow zone 3 -9. Fruit tastes blueberry cross Raspberry honey taste. Grows any soil needs little only water in hot days . No bother acid soil that real blueberries need this fruit gives all in any condition. Worth looking for to grow .
Wow I have never heard of or seen them before. What a great combination. I grow raspberries too but I would love to taste Honey Berries Kevin, thank you!
That looks yum, Diane!
I usually don’t cook on Fridays but tonight, I’m making air fryer chicken thighs. 🙂
Have a nice weekend!
My heart smiles when you say you cooked in your air fryer! Seems like yesterday you were wanting one.
We use it at least once a week. Haha
anything blueberry is on my list!
I agree Beth! Thank you
Love blueberry season!
Me too Dorothy but I am always happy when I picked the last berry from my bushes. It takes me almost an hour every other day for what seems like weeks!
I hear you!
Oh Diane, this looks wonderful. We are traveling to Michigan soon where I hope to pick fresh blueberries. I will make this when I get back home. Yum!
Thank you Betty! Almost done picking my blueberries (thank God). I find it so boring that I count how many I can get in one hand at a time. 🤣
Blueberry loaf cake sure looks perfect for this time of the year!
I am picking so many blueberries this year again. Today I was supposed to pick them and it has rained all day. I hope they don’t go bad as I Love to freeze them for the winter baking. Thank you Mary ❤️
Gooseberry, strawberry, rhubarb pie. It is delicious, but despite my husband using a lot of cornstarch, it has a lot of liquid. We don’t know where it could all come from! We grew the gooseberries and rhubarb.
I have never had gooseberries. I always make my strawberry-rhubarb pie a day ahead of time and it really helps with the juices when it sits overnight without cutting it. I also use 1/2 cup of all purpose flour instead of cornstarch. Hope this helps Linda.
Yum Diane – looks good for breakfast or right now as I prepare to log off and go to bed.
Thank you Linda! Why is it we get hungry right before bedtime? Lol
I know – especially when looking at your wonderful pictures of food – good trigger. 🙂
You are so kind Linda, thank you
You are so welcome Diane.
