It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 05-19-23

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My It’s Friday What’s For Dinner in the picture above is our dessert, STRAWBERRY RHUBARB PIE.
That pie looks delicious and would melt any man’s heart.
Haha except my husband! He doesn’t like rhubarb, imagine that!!!! Thank you💕
My OH will have his slice
Here’s my contribution, something light so there’s plenty of room for that pie https://viewfromtheback.com/2022/04/30/the-musette-herby-roasted-asparagus/
Thank you Sheree!
my very favorite pie
I always look forward to cutting my rhubarb for this pie Beth. But I wish our strawberries and rhubarb were ready to pick at the same time. I always have to buy strawberries at the store, however, I don’t mind freezing the rhubarb and using it with our fresh strawberries in June.
I never this pie. Is it very sweet?
Tonight I haven’t decided yet. But, it could very possibly be a BLT. Or maybe just some pickin’ stuff like bruschetta, salads and some stuffed olives and mushrooms. As it develops, I’ll let you know.
Rhubarb is very tart then the sweetness of strawberries makes for the perfect combination! I love how healthy you eat, I love everything you mentioned JC! We ate with out of state family for lunch so just dessert for dinner.
Thank you. I like the way I eat too. I just like it a little too much! 🤭😅😂
Don’t we all!
Now you are making my mouth water! I will have to go to my favorite pie place to get this kind of pie.
Awe thank you Stephen! Have a great weekend!
Strawberry and rhubarb pie is one of our favorites!
I have another pie that I made today for my granddaughter, for tomorrow, sitting on my counter. It is her favorite pie. My husband said he doesn’t like pie (unless it is chocolate or cherry) and he said that it looks so good he wants to eat it. 🤣
What a good idea! I wish I could, but I need y’all for ideas!
Thank you and you don’t have to add anything, just get ideas from anyone that does post recipe links or ideas.
Strawberry-rhubard pie brings back memories … my mom also used to stew strawberries and rhubarb and use it on buttered toast or over ice cream. Yummy!
I have eaten rhubarb stewed since I was a kid but I never thought to put strawberries in it! Great idea Linda.
Yes, try it Diane – the perfect blend of tart and sweet for ice-cream toppings or on toast or just plain in a dish!
I love rhubarb! It looks great! My contribution for the week is chana masala. It is one of my favorite, easy Indian dishes.
Thank you I will look that one up!
