Happy Mother’s Day 05-14-23

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms, Step Moms, Adoptive Moms, Foster Moms and the women that have stepped into the Mom role.

Not all Moms will see their kids today, me included! With all the wonderful souvenirs we brought back from our trip to Holland Michigan, I also brought back either Covid or some other bug that doesn’t seem to want to leave me. However, my daughter did stop over on Saturday with her nose and mouth covered. She put these on the counter and practically ran out the door, I didn’t blame her!

Mother’s Day, to me, doesn’t happen on one day a year, I feel we are blessed to be a mother every day of every year. Enjoy your day!

  1. Mother to me was an angel .Father my best friend . Sadly now at 73 an orphan widower and retired .Where did time go.

    • I don’t know how we would have gotten through most of our life without our mother’s support. I highly respect you for saying this, there are too many people that don’t appreciate all that mothers do.

  2. Happy Mother’s Day Diane! Glad you have such thoughtful children. Hope you get well quickly. There are hundreds of cold virus’s, besides Covid, and we all survived them for years, so don’t panic…just rest and heal 🙂

  3. Happy Mother’s Day, Diane! I hope you get better soon. Get some rest and take it easy. Glad you still got to see your daughter.

  4. Happy Mother’s Day to all the hardworking women in the world! There is no more challenging and rewarding gig than raising a child, and I salute every one of you.

  5. I’m kind of late with this but, Happy Mother’s Day. Hope you feel better by tomorrow. Drink some wine.
My grandmother used to heat ip some red wine when I felt sick. Heating it would thicken it a little. She made me drink it up, about a cupful I guess. I still was sick, but I didn’t care.

  6. Diane, I do hope that you’re feeling better and that you recover quickly. I agree with you 1000% about Mother’s Day being more than a lovely Sunday in May!

  7. The flowers are thoughtful and beautiful. Sorry your Mother’s Day was marred by your being sick. Did Terry and your mother-in-law also get this virus? What a downer after such a wonderful trip! Feel better soon Diane!

    • Luckily, no they didn’t. It is two weeks today and I still am fighting it. Makes me wonder if it was Covid. I was looking for a painting by myself at one store and in the cherry store talking close to an employee so I’m guessing it was one of them. The flowers are still beautiful, I have enjoyed them every day. Thank you Linda!
