It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 05-12-23

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My It’s Friday What’s For Dinner in the picture above is POTATO PANCAKES WITH CHEESE.
anything crispy, with potatoes, and cheese sounds amazing and this hits all 3
I agree Beth, they taste amazing! I am such a sucker for any potato but these really hit the spot.

We will be making white asparagus with sauce gribiche, a slightly forgotten French sauce made with boiled eggs, oil, vinegar, mustard, chives, capers and cornichons. For more detail: https://cookanddrink.org/2019/06/05/white-asparagus-with-sauce-gribiche/
It sounds delicious! Thank you💕
I LOVE potato pancakes or latkes. A Thanksgiving leftover option.
I like to make extra mashed potatoes just so I can make these anytime. We have mashed potatoes a lot. Thank you Danny and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
These look so very, very tasty!
I never like them before this recipe, it was so delicious. Thank you!
I haven’t had potato pancakes in many years – my father used to fry them on an electric frying pan in the backyard a few times each Summer. He would grate potatoes for hours … it was his thing. They were delicious!
Awe this was his special food! What a delicious way to make them by grating them too. I love how our dad’s/hubby’s have certain specialty foods they love to make and are so good!
The potato pancakes were definitely his thing and he didn’t make any other German food, just that. He used to take a whole afternoon making them. Mom may have peeled the potatoes – h did the rest. We had applesauce with them – some people have sour cream with them.
Oh wow I never heard of having applesauce with them, interesting!
I don’t know if it is a German thing or not. I had a Jewish co-worker and they made potato latkes (same as potato pancakes as I know them) and they only used sour cream.
