  1. These look good Diane. I haven’t had hot biscuits in years … we had them sometimes and always over 4th of July weekend with homemade sausage gravy, my reward for washing windows, a job which I disliked.

    • Thank you! They were as delicious as the restaurants only ours were not dried out like they get when they sit around at the restaurant. I won’t let anyone wash my windows because I hate streaks. My husband tried once and I had to redo them. He never did them again. 🤣

      • My mother was persnickety about her windows too! That’s why I was rewarded because she would go around as I finished each window and take the mop handle to poke at where I missed. She’d make me fix it til it was perfect. Laughing about your husband, because if my mom could have climbed up on the ladder, I’d have gladly handed over that job!

    • Now that her mom got her nurse practitioner job, she is home so much more including weekends. We have helped raised these two grandkids for 11 years. We take them one at a time now but not all weekend like before. Sports have started and we spend time running them to practice and going to see the games. We are getting older and want to finally be able to have weekends for us after all these years. My husband retires in a year and then we want to travel. So to answer your question, no she has not since she is isn’t here nearly as much.

      • I bet those 11 years were incredible (and tiring) years of bonding and memories that will last a lifetime! Best wishes with your husband’s final sprint to retirement and enjoy every moment together with your upcoming travels!

  2. Oh 👀 … the moment I see that there is to be kneading, my heart beats faster! But if your granddaughter could do it (and it only takes 30 seconds of kneading), I can probably give it a try 😀 … because they look really nice!
