Seasoned Garlic Butter Pork Chops

Pork Chops browned in a skillet, basted in a seasoned garlic butter then baked in the oven.

Salt and pepper both

sides of the pork chops.

In a small bowl, melt the butter in the

microwave. Add the rosemary, paprika

and garlic powder then stir and set aside.

Add the oil to a cast iron skillet (or any

skillet) and heat over medium heat until

hot. Cook the pork chops on both sides

just until lightly brown. If you are not

using a cast iron skillet, transfer the

meat to a baking dish.

Spoon the butter mixture

on top of the pork chops.

Bake at 375º, uncovered, until the thickest

part of the pork chop is 145º then serve.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (with or without bone)
  • 1-2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. dried rosemary or your favorite dried herb
  • 4 Tbsp. butter

  1. Everything tastes better with garlic butter! Looks so tasty and I do love a good porkchop. Have you finished drying all the herbs from your garden harvest this year?

    • I agree Ab! Yes the garden is done and my herbs are dried. I am waiting for the asparagus to turn brown so I can cut them down. It’s a LOT of asparagus and I can only handle a small section each day but it will get there.

  3. That makes sense. I don’t have an issues with figuring out the “main” part of our meals (like meat!) but I often fall down around veggies and something else. Sigh. I am working on it, though!

  4. I have some bone-in chops, but I am going to try this recipe. I have a friend I owe a couple of meals to and she can be my guinea pig.
