It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 10-7-22
Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type one recipe you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe, however it may take me a few days to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam. NO SPAM WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is 15 Minute Baked Italian Shrimp with only three ingredients. Add a vegetable and some rice for a wonderful meal.

A dish to make you smarter – is shrimp brain food like fish is?
Well it hasn’t helped me! 🤣
Ha ha – me neither and I eat a salmon or tuna sandwich daily. Since Starkist and Chicken of the Sea came out with the packets of salmon or tuna, I’m more inclined to eat it more regularly, than when I had to drain it and then it smelled the kitchen up and then I had to half it, so this is better for me … brain food (maybe).
We were just talking about Kroger merging yesterday. I hate shopping there they are so much more expensive then Meijer’s, where we go.
I know some of your ingredients you show for your meals were from Kroger. The reason I went to Kroger years ago was they were the only grocery store that had Honeycrisp apples – now Meijer has them, so I’ve not been back. Meijer has all the deals with mPerks – that’s why I like it. I have my Medicare with Priority Health and they have a deal with Kroger where you can get your OTC items at Kroger and/or food … they have a $60.00 per quarter allowance for OTC items/food and before you had to use it at Walmart or CVS. Everything I’d try to buy at CVS was out; I’d order online at Walmart, same thing. Plus this new “plan” offers free, next day grocery delivery. I think that is $49.00 a year. So I’m going to try it for 2023.
I hope it works out well for you Linda. I can’t get on Medicare for 1-1/2 years….ugh.
I hope so too Diane. I knew you were younger than me and retired at around 60 year old. This will be better than the other way I think (and hope). The nearest Walmart to me I have not shopped at as there is always crime of sort going on in the parking lot, so I just stay away and order my OTC allotment online and it is delivered.
