It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 8-5-22

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.

If someone wants your recipe and asks there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe, however it may take me a few days to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam. NO SPAM WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.

I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.

I will not be commenting on your ”It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” recipe as this is your recipes to share with everyone.

My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is CHEESY CREAMY SEAFOOD PASTA CASSEROLE which is full of shrimp, scallops and crab tossed with pasta, two kinds of cheese and a delicious homemade creamy white sauce then topped with more shrimp. This casserole is packed with 3-1/2 pounds of seafood and 3 cups of cheese!

  2. Oh, Diane, this looks so delicious! I can’t wait to try this one!
Here’s a Thanksgiving/anytime recipe that became a favorite of my son David who was at one time an extremely picky eater. This side dish was one of the few things he would eat. It’s called Baked Corn and here’s all you need to know –
Ingredients: 2 large eggs, 1 pkg (8.5 oz) dry corn bread mix, 1 can (15 oz) whole kernel corn (drained), 1 can (14.75 oz) creamed corn, 1 cup sour cream. Heat oven to 350º. Lightly spray an 8×8″ baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. In a medium bowl combine all ingredients. Pour and spread evenly into the prepared baking dish and bake for 45 – 50 min or until the top is golden brown.
David got married 5 years ago to a doctor who is also a gourmet chef. She introduced him to a whole new world of foods and he now eats just about everything. Quite a turn around for the young boy who for about 3 years would only eat toast and bacon!

  3. Diet time here so we look good for my son’s upcoming wedding…
    Chicken burgers…
    1 pound ground chicken
    1 small carrot, grated
    Sliced mushrooms
    Small onion
    1/4 cup bread crumbs
    Grated parmesan
    1 large egg
    Garlic powder
2 tbsp GOOD BBQ sauce (optional but recommended highly)

Brown and sweat the onion and mushrooms in some EVOO
Combine all the ingredients and mix well. Use your hands for best results.
Form into 4 patties, cover with plastic wrap and put into the fridge for at least an hour. Cook either on the grill, turning once, or fry on the stove til done. Don’ overcook though or they will dry out.
Serve on burger buns with tomato and some arugula.

    • Thank you Bernadette. I posted this and for some reason, after 17 comments WP removed it. I showed me it was still there so I did an edit and it popped back up. I’m so tired of all these issues WP is having for what I pay (business plan).
