It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 6-3-22

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.

If someone wants your recipe and asks there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe, however it may take me a few days to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam. NO SPAM WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.

I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.

I will not be commenting on your ”It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” recipe as this is your recipes to share with everyone.

  1. yummm, many of my favorite ingredients all rolled into one. I’m looking for a good stovetop Mac and cheese recipe.

  2. Friday night is Asian Food night in our home- my go to is Teriyaki Udon with a spicy carront/daikon radish slaw – you can make the slaw ahead the evening before the udon pulls together real quick!!!

  3. TGIF! We’re making fried chicken for dinner. Perfect for a summer evening. 🙂 Enjoy your weekend!

  4. Tonight’s dinner is different.
    Basically, it is called…reservations.
There was something called a phone involved but I couldn’t find it in the pantry.
So my wife took care of it.

  5. YUM!! I have a chicken dish for you as well; it’s called One Pound Chicken. Ingredients: 1lb raw peppers, seeded and diced (I like to combine red, green and yellow or orange for a colorful dish; 1lb skinless, boneless uncooked chicken breast, diced;1 cup EVOO, 1 16oz can (1lb) tomato sauce or your own homemade sauce; white wine; Lawry’s Seasoned Salt to taste; 1 lb pasta.
Toss diced peppers into an extra-large skillet, add EVOO and Lawry’s to taste; saute at medium heat until the peppers are soft but not mushy. Stir frequently to keep from burning. When peppers are soft, add diced chicken and a splash of white wine. Gently toss with peppers and cook at medium until chicken is thoroughly cooked. When chicken is done, add tomato sauce, stir together and let everything simmer on low while your pasta cooks. (At this point everything in the skillet is cooked; you just need the tomato sauce to come to a simmer). Drain cooked pasta and transfer to a large serving bowl. Add pepper/chicken/tomato sauce mixture to pasta and stir together. Serve with salad and Italian bread for a hearty, inexpensive meal. Don’t forget a glass or two of red wind! Buon appetito! 🍷

    • I like taco salad – my mom used to make it all the time … I’m not much of a cook, but this looks like something I can’t mess up. 🙂

      • I hope to do it soon Carla – a long hot Summer is ahead of us. I am the only one eating it, so I’ll need to halve the recipe or be eating a lot of it. 🙂

  6. Usually, on Friday night, we go for appetizers somewhere and then a movie. This week, a planned trip was canceled and we were found with a rare Friday night at home. A fav appetizer of ours is big meatballs in red sauce with cheese at a local pub. No pasta..just the good stuff! We decided to make these at home this week. Opened a bottle of cab and never missed going out!

  7. Your meal looks delicious as usual Diane, but I was reading thru Carla’s Taco Salad and that has ben too long since I enjoyed that treat.
