  1. Yummm…. y! This looks so delicious indeed. I wrote a recipe on yesterday’s post. Don’t know whether the comment escaped to your spambox. Would you mind checking?

    • On the “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” weekly posts I am not going to comment on recipes, only because it will take me so long to check links and get my post for Saturday I don’t have time. (Need to spend time with family too) I did see it yesterday and even read it to my husband. We talked about it being like a tortilla???? Your recipe and instructions were excellent and I would love to make it some day. I will still be commenting on all other posts and visiting your website on the rest of the week. Please keep adding what you make as it is food new to me and I love trying new things. Have a great weekend.

  2. The cake looks beautiful, it certainly tastes good. I will do it right after Christmas, because my family likes the smell and taste of lemon.
    Regards

  3. Looks like and delicious! I love the crisscrossing pattern you made. It looks very elegant when it’s finished and golden!

  4. My mom used to make something similar with raspberry jam and icing sugar – she would have liked this as she loved lemon. After we moved to the States, she would stock up on Shirriff lemon pudding/pie filler every time we went to visit my grandmother in Toronto as lemon meringue pies were a favorite dessert for her.

      • Yes, she did and we had a “grocery exchange” – my mom loved some Canadian brands, like Red Rose mixed pickles and that lemon pie filler, plus Coffee Crisp and Aero chocolate bars. We’d bring groceries from the States that was were much cheaper than in Canada – cigarettes for the neighbors who did nice things for my grandmother. My mom would fret if her meringue was less than a perfect beige color. 🙂
