Homemade Self Rising Flour

How many times have you wanted to make a recipe that calls for Self Rising Flour but you don’t have any? When I do buy it, I end up throwing most of it away because it goes bad before I finish it. Read HERE to see my step by step directions and a printable recipe card to learn how easy it is to make it a cup at a time.

Thanks for sharing this. I wasn’t aware anyone else does this.
It sounds like more than I thought. Lol
I had to wait 50 years to know that one can make your own self-rising flour 😁! Thanks for sharing this Diane!!
Haha you can make just about anything they sell in the store. You’re very welcome!
I never ever buy self-raising flour. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in France. Instead I do exactly as you suggest Diane.
Wow I didn’t know you couldn’t get it there, interesting!
Great to have the recipe!
Happy to share it, I love that it makes a cup at a time.💕
I love these tricks and tips, Diane.
I am so glad you said that Carla! I am thinking about having a weekly post on Fridays called Fun Fact Friday or maybe Tips & Tricks Thursday, what do you think?
I love it! We can all use those.
Thank you!
You’re very welcome Nancy❤️
Interesting that this is a recipe for making flour! 😊 I learned something new today.
I can’t tell you how much self rising flour goes bad because I rarely use it. I love this recipe because it makes a cup. Thank you❤️
That is a new one on me, the non-baker. A fellow blogger, (not a baker) posted about his disappointment with store-bought graham crackers and he made his own. I thought that was quite a feat, making your own graham crackers. I told him my mom made granola bars (the crunchy ones like Nature Valley).
Wow I never thought about making graham crackers, but I did post a recipe for granola bars already.
I would have never thought to make them either as graham crackers are graham crackers and they all taste alike. Dave said they are not only more nutritious but delicious too.
Ah..good tip for sure.
I never use an entire bag so I found this the perfect amount for me.
