Homemade Chocolate Fudge

Give your sweetie Homemade Chocolate Fudge on Valentine’s Day. It is made with semi-sweet chocolate chips, marshmallows and other ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. My cousin told me it was the best fudge she has ever tasted!

Lightly butter an 8” x 8” dish.

In a small saucepan combine the

sugar, milk, 2 Tbsp. of butter and salt.

Bring to a boil over medium heat,

stirring constantly, then

boil for 5 minutes.

Add the chocolate chips and stir

until melted while still on the heat.

Stir until creamy and all the

chocolate is completely melted.

Remove from the heat and add the

marshmallows, vanilla extract

and nuts (optional).

Stir until the marshmallows are

completely melted and the fudge is

smooth and creamy, work quickly

as it sets up fast.

Pour into the prepared dish and

wait for it to cool and set up.

Cut into squares and wrap tightly in

plastic wrap. I stored mine in

the refrigerator.

  1. The thing is I’ve become Pavlov’s dog, I just see Diane’s Kitchen, and my mouth starts watering. I don’t even have to know what’s cooking in your kitchen. Anyone else? Hugs, C

  2. I have never made fudge at home, and this one is also chocolate. Good sweetness for wind, snow and rain and cold 🙂
    greetings

  3. A great idea for Valentine’s indeed. I’m very tempted to make this for the hubby too. Although the peanut brittle is a favourite of his too (he’s made your brittle recipe twice since the first time I made it for him!).

  4. This is an interesting recipe Diane. It reminds me of the fudge my aunt used to make that pretty much just used sugar, unsweetened chocolate, milk, corn syrup. The addition of the chocolate chips and marshmallows is like a little insurance policy!
My mom was too impatient to make fudge. We all joke that we were in our teens before we learned that fudge wasn’t supposed to be eaten on a spoon…
