A few years back, Dan won a bottle of champagne on a cruise ship. We really don’t drink but brought it to dinner to share with our table mates. Our friends suggested asking for orange juice and making mimosas. It was a great idea! The bottle of champagne was empty by the end of our dinner. I am sure this recipe will be very popular!

Well that is a good way to start off the new year – they are already shooting off fireworks here more than two hours before 2022 arrives.
Oh my that is early. I live in the country and they are all over here too, but they didn’t start until midnight.
We had not only fireworks but people shooting off guns – that’s something new and SCARY.
We have neighbors that target shoot right behind our property but facing our house! Our house is far enough away but our yard where the kids play is not. I will be out there with the grandkids and make them come inside. I called the sheriff but he said there is nothing we can do about it.
That’s terrible Diane – why can’t the sheriff enforce some ordinance? I hate hearing that and they should have to go to a gun range for target practice.
Because we live in the country and the sheriff said the target had a mound behind it yet we have holes in our pole barn!
That’s still awful – I’m sure if you pointed out the holes in the pole barn, the sheriff would say it could have been anyone who shot the holes. Terrible!
