Chicken or Turkey Stuffed Roll Ups

Good quality deli chicken (or turkey) rolled with stuffing inside, drizzled with gravy and baked in the oven. This is very easy and the perfect three ingredient dish for a great meal.

I had planned on having this for my Christmas dinner until my family was hit with Covid. I made a double batch of this anyway and dropped off plates for our sick family members. It was easy for them to pop in the microwave, especially for my grandkids.

Credit for this dish goes to my dear blogging friend Nancy @ http://www.twotrailsoneroad.com.

Spray a 9” x 13” baking

dish with cooking oil.

Prepare the stuffing, I

used Stove Top stuffing

and added a little more water

than what the box called for.

Pour 3/4 of the gravy on the bottom of the

baking dish. You can use canned or make

your own. Click HERE for the link to my

easy homemade gravy.

Lay a piece of chicken or turkey on a plate.

Place a scoop of prepared

stuffing in the center.

Roll the meat around the stuffing.

I used a toothpick to hold it

closed but only because I was

going to be giving them away and

I didn’t want them to come apart.

Place them side by side in the baking dish

then drizzle the remaining gravy over the

top. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven

until hot and bubbly then serve.

Ingredients

  • 8 thicker slices of good quality deli chicken or turkey
  • 1 box chicken Stove Top Stuffing
  • 2 cups chicken gravy

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray a 9” x 13” baking dish with cooking oil.
  3. Prepare the stuffing according to the package directions. I added a little more water than the package stated so it didn’t dry out. (Optional)
  4. Pour 3/4 of the gravy into the baking dish spreading it out to cover the bottom.
  5. Lay a piece of chicken or turkey on a plate. Place a scoop of stuffing in the center.
  6. Roll the meat around the stuffing and place it in the baking dish, side by side so they don’t unroll. You can put a wooden toothpick in it if it won’t stay close. Drizzle with the remaining gravy.
  7. Bake until hot and bubbly then serve.

  1. What a great idea. And how kind if you to feed your sick family members. ❤️ (I hope they can taste them. 🙄) Not just people who are sick, but I would think anyone wanting to save time in the kitchen would go for these. Or wondering what to do with all the leftovers – problem solved!

  2. This dish is so darn easy and sooooooo good! And delicious enough to serve at a dinner party. Guests rave about it!
Thank you for the shout out my friend!
    🎉Happy 2022!🎉

    • Thank you I have wanted to make this since I had it at a graduation party years ago. I had forgotten all about it and now I will be making it again, SO GOOD! Happy New Year Nancy!

  3. That looks nice light and delicious! Easier than cooking an actual turkey, I imagine! I hope your family is feeling better and on the mend!

  4. Similar. In Italian we have cannelloni which is a pasta sleeve or roll stuffed with meat. If you stuff with ricotta, it is called manicotti.

  5. This is a keeper, Diane, thanks for sharing. I love turkey, dressing, and gravy, but it’s a lot of work preparing the whole shebang more than once a year. I’ll give this a try in a month or two.

  6. As you can see, I’m playing catch up today. This really looks good! I see in this post that you had family members sick with Covid over Christmas. I am so very sorry. I hope all are recovered or recovering now and that none of them will have long-term problems from it.

  7. All the best things, turkey, stuffing and gravy! What a great and simple recipe. I love it. I think I will be making this one night down in Florida.
